Also, the heal from Herb seems nice, though hardly needed with the healing abilities we have already.

I'd just like to direct you here.

It's your choice, really. Do you want gear or pots? Both skinning and herbalism can be used to rake in a fair amount of gold, although I find that skinning usually is a tab bit more lucrative.

For leveling and soloing purposes, I'd personally go with Herb/Alc, but I'm biased as that's what I've taken. Gear usually isn't too hard to come by while leveling, and it really doesn't matter all that much before outlands, where it gets VERY easy to obtain gear from quests. Plus, Mixology is awesome because not only do my elixirs work all around "better", they also last longer.

i went with LW skin from day one and never regretted it... even less so now...

IF gold were NOT an issue i would drop skinning and get enscription for the shoulder enchants.

cheaper leg patches for me, best bracer chants and best shoulder chants = WIN.
