What is a good HP count?

Tanking heroic UK I noticed a couple things. First 2 points on def does make a world of differnce =P. And second I felt that the 22K HP I had was not enough. The final boss was the one that got me bad... I kept dieing because I didnt have the HP to keep takeing the hits when the healer was silenced. So i was wondering what do you guys think is an ok HP count to start heroics in..
Yes I know def cap is key. Also if you could link or suggest some ways to get my HP up would be nice also.
And for those who do want to know we did get the final boss down. The feral druid that was with us put on his tank set and me and him passed aggro around. When I got to about 4-5k hp he would taunt, when he was down I would taunt, not the best of plans but it worked.

Well, 22k is not a lot but is doable for most heroics. As for the last boss in UK, you have to avoid the cone AoE he does (Smash in phase 1, Dark Smash in phase 2). That makes things a lot easier.
