What is the "active mitigation" for DK tanks?

I am reading up guides on dungeons and there are notes about important heavy-hitting boss abilities, and that tanks should use their "active mitigation" during this time. For like a warrior, I imagine you'd be using shield block during this time, but what do DK tanks do instead? The defensive abilities like icebound fourtitude or dancing rune weapon are on CD, so I don't think those count for "active mitigation" that you use fairly often.

Death Strike
works as active mitigation - it gives a 10 second buff called
Blood Shield
"When you deal damage with Death Strike while in Blood Presence, you gain a percentage of your health gained as a physical absorption shield."
Marrowrend
also acts as active mitigation, too!
So if you know a big hit is incoming, pool up some power, Death Strike before the hit, then again after the hit to recover some extra health. Or if youre <6 Bone Shield stacks, then hit Marrowrend to bump those back up!
Also please note this is a pretty TLDR explanation - the
Blood Death Knight Guide
goes into it all in more detail for you :)

Bone Shield. It passes all AM checks and is the easiest to keep up.
