I always have seen these unstoppable guys with their pets at that bracket because of those armored boars in the RFK instance... or thats where i think they came from. The armored boars I've seen had 2k-3k health at that level, which is unbelievable to me. Even if they arent so great at attack, i still would go for them *they probably attack as good/better than any other boar*
im 99% sure thats not how hunter pets work
either way, pet hp =/= win
