What is the one thing you'd like to see implemented into more mmo's?

Personally, I'd like to see more mmo's with much lower level caps or maybe without levels at all. Secret world tried it but I think there are more ways of doing it. Let's not overly criticize anyone's ideas either, I just am curious what things people would like to see tried or more of in new mmo's.

Dynamic changes to the game world as you complete quests. You finish all the quests for a faction, the npcs in the area start to talk about the charcter etc. You help rebuild a town, it shows up for you...

Idk about a game without levels. Most games seem to have them, even most mmo's. it's how players can tell where they are at and how far they are from where they want to be. It lets players set goals, such as getting to "x" level in a skill.
I watched a couple of videos about Torchlight 2 and I liked the gameplay.
I only played two MMO, WoW and runescape. The one thing RS has that wow can benefit from are the quests. They are great, and much more varied than the kill x, gather x quests. They actually have story, and a lot of them require the players to have a certain skill level to complete. One quest may require you have a smithing level high enough to make a piece of weapon or armor for use in the quest. They also have some great puzzles that require you to think. And of course they have the quests where you must kill something for someone, but there are some quests that are quite hard and only those with maxed out stats can do them.

Facebook integration (though optional).
I don't mean like achievement messages. There's an app for that.
But i've found that a lot of friends/connections were "closet wow players" (or i didn't know because it didn't come up in conversations). So i didn't know they played untill i or they overheard something about it.
Through Facebook integration, it'd be easier to see which of your friends also play, enabling you to play with them.
I know Starcraft 2 already has had something similar since 2010.

By having no levels I am not saying no degree of advancement. No levels would be trickier but I think a game where you had like 7 levels but each level represented a major step forward for your character. What I hate are 80 levels which gives you the sense of being on a treadmill and having to do endless amounts of questing to get to that cap and which usually gets filled by doing fetch and kill 10 of this or that over and over. The huge level caps just serve as grinds and timesinks imo and can make you easily lose interest when playing a new game. For instance, I was fully planning to leave wow for gw2 6 monthes ago but then I played the beta and realized they were going with a lvl 80 cap and could not bring myself to start that whole grind over again after getting so many toons to max level in wow.

If this were the case when I played excessively, I'd either disable facebook or remove most of my friends cuz I'd get sick of them pointing out I played WoW too much.

Another thing I wouldn't mind seeing implemented is allowing players to create their own classes to a large degree, much like you can in elderscrolls games, where you might have 7 different masteries which deal with the traditional melee, stealth, caster and healer classes but allow you to choose one benefit from whichever tree/skill set each time you level.

Something similar to what Rift did?

I vaguely recall what Rift did but I can't remember enough about it to say whether it is what I am thinking of. What I remember about Rift though is that choices you made could easily be undone which isn't really what I am saying but the overall concept might be similar.

Yeah, the notifications would be out of control.

I'd love the ability to change the colour of our gear.
This could be implemented as a Tailoring and/or Blacksmithing and/or Leatherworking ability.
Obviously, this issue has largely been dealt with by the implementation of Transmogrification. But, we've all seen gear that had a great skin that was ruined by an awful colour scheme - like a Lamborghini that some fool has painted green.
p.s. There have been many times when I have dreamed of the ability to conduct some same-faction PvP. I doubt I'd be alone in wanting this. Yes, Mr mid-fighting DK, who has had 2 flag returns in 184 WSGs, I am thinking of YOU when I dream of this ability ;-)
yes, I've often wished for that also. Guild Wars had a very elaborate system for changing gear colors which allowed players to mix dyes(as many as you wished to) and then apply them to whatever armor piece. Always hoped wow might be able to implement it but kind of given up on it now.
