If you can, try to stick to the instant cast spells, for holy, that means sticking to Holy Shock and FoL when the proc comes, for ret and prot...

The only time a paladin is weak is when silenced or getting locked down. I usually spam holy shock if its looking like im going down.
In an arena, if I'm against anything that has a reasonable silence, I'll use divine favor prior to holy shock, and consume my infusion of light on either a big heal or insta flash, whichever I need.
If you're herbalism, pop Lifebloom (non-spell and off the gcd).
Potions are also your friend in silence situations (there are now arena potions available to alchemists only).
If you're 80, against any silence capable opponent its pretty much mandatory to have Sacred Shield up.
Edit: Oh yeah, line of sight as much as possible... but it looks like you already do that :)
Hope this helps!
