2500 isn't bad at all, in 5-mans I get about 1900-2000 usually (not done enough raids to really know, especially since I'm OT and spend half my time tanking).
Out of curiosity, do you use the 1/3 or the 2/2 rotation? IIRC, EJ had the 1/3 listed, but the 2/2 is actually better for longer fights (a lot of the EJ info was from early in beta, since when things have changed - both the class itself and the ideas people have presented).
