I've had a few of these moments myself.
But what happens more often is, myself being a retri paladin, it's not always about topping the damage, its, did you cleanse him, blessing of sacrafice him, throw some off heals that in the long run saved the group.
I love things like that, but the thing is it's rarely noticed :(, but ill continue being the unsung hero :L
I really like players like that, guys and gals that focus on the benefit of the team rather than individual glory, and always have an eye for what needs to be done..
Being the unsung hero reminds me of playing my warlock back in vanilla wow. Keeping mobs from running away with CoRecklessness, slowing casters down with CoTongues, silencing healer mobs with my felpuppy, loads of stuff nobody ever really saw or even understood. I usually didn't score big on the meters and almost never got credit for my work, but after almost every run people would say "wow, that went smooth" and I would smile to myself..
