No, I think you're absolutely right. Banish does seem kinda OP in Warlock vs Warlock PvP situations. If you're not specced for sacrifice, the other Warlock can banish your pet even if you're not in meta, reducing your overall damage output and PvP viability.

If you pop meta against another lock, they have to be incapacitated in some way, or its banish everytime. The key to meta vs another lock is, wait for the right time, and never, EVER let them cast it. Felguard stun (demo locks with a mastery in pet control is a must), Death Coil, Demon Chrage, Demonic Teleport out of LoS, grenade, if belf then arcane torrent, anything to disrupt the cast. If you can stay un banished than other locks melt away under a hail of Immolation aura, Felguard damage, dots, and Shadow Cleave. Afflic does seem to be the winner in lock vs lock though, I usually die 3 secs after they do though.
Can a PvP trinket be used while banished? Honestly I don't face many locks, all the QQ'ers who can't play a lock since the fear nerfs have been all alliance in my battlegroup it seems.
