My guild has no rogues (yep, no rogues), so the only competition on dps comes from a FFB mage.

On reg bosses (like sarth), 3k
On patchwerk without boomkin/ele sham, 3.5k

I compete with a BM hunter mostly... Maybe one rogue. But in the long run, I dominate them.

See that's interesting irharry, because most of my guilds FFB mages just failed for the longest time. I don't know whether it was a rotation or itemization failing, but it's gotten on my nerves.

Imagine losing a dkp bid on Life and Death to the absolute lowest dps in a raid... even behind the tanks.

I run with two, one geared (4/5 T7 and the rest of his gear equivalent), and one not (badge/heroic gear mainly, a few random naxx bits). The geared one struggles, the undergeared one is incredible, and comfortably puts out over 3k in ten mans. She's goooood, and is going to be in the 25 man team soon with luck.

Mages are having similar issues to locks, their playstyle and requirements have changed, and many players simply havn't adjusted. That and a good hot streak addon helps :-)

I think one of the things a LOT of people don't realise, or simply don't want to realise, is that the T6 and 6.5 gear is actually as good (or damn close to), as the level 80 blues. Heroic blues are approximately equal, and heroic epics are better, but the players that took their very top end gear into wrath are going to keep at least some of it till naxx.

Some items are always, always going to be replaced very quickly, weapon being one of them, but casters can perform very well at Naxx 10 level in T6. I'm certainly not saying that using T6 is ideal, but thanks to all that hit and generally very nicely rounded stats, its not allll that awful.

In the 25's I've run, I'm pretty consistently 4th after 2 BM hunters and a fury warrior. I expect this will change after 3.08, at which point I'll be 2nd behind the fury warrior, who is now way way way ahead.

I've also noticed that cat druid's DPS can get ridiculous, though only when grouped with DK's (thanks to Horn of Winter and the occasional blood-tree Hysteria).

Well, my guild joins with abotehr guild to do 25 man naxx runs. For the dps charts, its usually me, then the DK from my guild (always changing spec, dont know which he is atm), then the ret pally. Everyone else is 300-1k dps behind us. In the guild 10 man runs, its usually me, then the DK, then either the rogue, hunter kitty, or lazer chicken. And we have no shammy. So the only caster specific buff im getting is the lazer chicken aura.
