As the title says.....Which professions makes the most money?
Yeah I know, Skinning and mining gives a lot of money but is it really that much?
And how about the new professions called "Inscription", a mate told me that his mate got 5K gold in 2 weeks using inscription. So what you say WoWhead? What profession gives the most money and why? Please link some examples that can be sold on AH.

The gathering professions in general will net you the most.
Many players are currently power-leveling their professions, so they need the mats to craft all of the items to level up. Supplying the items they need gets you lots of gold right now. Mining is very profitable because the supply is high as the blacksmiths, jewelcrafters, and engineers need all the ore they can get their hands on. It all depends on the supply and demand on your particular server, of course, but a stack of cobalt ore is going for around 35-45 gold right now on my server. It sells without fail, also.

Mining is ALWAYS a huge money maker, simply because JCs need the ore to prospect for gems. Saronite has dropped a bit in cost.. but I can spend 2 hours on my rogue, farm up 10-12 stacks of Saronite, and sell for 30-40g per. Not to mention the gems and titanium (titanium - 40g each on my server lol).
Inscription: Cards, cards, cards. Forget the Glyphs, the money making Glyphs take a while to contain. Darkmoon Card of the North nets you Nobles cards, which currently makes one of the best melee dps trinkets in game. I made 10k gold from those in one day, just buying herbs, milling, buying Eternal Life, churning cards, and selling for over 1k per.
Another good one for Inscription: Scrolls. Hook up with an Enchanter, make Scrolls of Mongoose, Spellpower enchants to weapon/gloves/bracers, etc etc. I drop 150g in the AH buying voids/Greater Planar Essences/Arcane Dust, and sell the scroll for 500g. Not a bad trade off.
Herbalism: Herbs are always needed for raiding and inscription. Herbalist can spend just one day a week farming in Northrend, and easily make 10k. Lichbloom, Adder's Tongue, and Icethorn sell for godly amounts (60+ a stack for Lichbloom, 35+ for Icethorn, 30+ for Adder's Tongue) and isn't hard to pickup. Factor in Eternal Lifes, which go for anywhere from 15 to 30g per. Easy money.

Mining and herbalism sounds easy and good BUT inscription sounds like there is a lot of money in it but hard to get/risky.

Mining has been nice for me. Just hit 50 and have made almost 1500g about 75% mining and 25% skinning income. Silver and Gold ore are selling for unreal amounts right now. I was putting stacks of only 5 up in AH for 25-30 gold and they were gone in an hour.

I thought you found it easy to farm gold?
http://www.wowhead.com/?forums&topic=65914
,
or are you just leading into posting your gold farming website?
well hahaha tbh, I was about to tell but I picked mining and herbalism. 1-375 skill I did 2K gold. And now I have made about 6K gold out of it:)

Gathering professions without a doubt. I'm an enchanter...business is non-existent unless I advertise. Even then I don't get much of a tip. Same tailoring...only good thing about tailoring is making bags in my opinion.
