Who else is tired of their backpack?

So we are now well into the 2nd expansion and able to get 20/22 slot bags fairly easily, not to mention 28 - 32 slot profession bags (except Engineers who are still stuck at 24). With all due respect, my 16 slot backpack is getting wore up and needs an update.
So when do you think Blizz will let us replace the Backpack for bigger sacks?

I think it would be more interesting to have a small quest chain with various gathering quests and a fee associated with them at certain levels. Say at 55, 65 and 75 you can do a quest chain where the final reward gives you an extra four slots, so 20 at 55, 24 at 65 and 28 at 75. That would keep it somewhere around the epic quality bag slot level for those level ranges. I do agree though, it makes sense to up the slots of your basic backpack when you can craft/but/loot regular bags with twice as many slots...

what difference would it make? you'll just fill those extra slots, then come back here QQ'ing that they need to make bags bigger overall.
Not true, up until recently, I have been perfectly content with the 16 slotted backpack. Seeings how I am 80 now and focusing more on professions and raids. (I have the 24 slot Engineers bags and 32 slot Mining bag, Plus 2 20 slot Frostweaves) The 16 Slot just isn't covering it anymore to hold all my potions, scrolls and food.
Maybe I'll just upgrade my Frostweaves to Gigantiques from Shat.

I remember reading a post/interview somewhere, about how they are weary to give people more bag spaces, just because the more bag spaces people have, the more people are going to carry (obviously) then the more its going to bog down the servers, so in reality, there is only so much space they can give us before they can't anymore. That's why we have bag slots we can buy for our bank, use um.

Start a guild with a bank alt and bam -- you have yourself way too much space. Just get used to mailing things around characters.
