I played a warrior to level 60 and loved it. So I decided to try the only other "true" melee class there was, the Rogue.

I wanted to play a melee class and I didn't want to be asked to tank or do anything else so I rolled rogue. I probably would have rolled warrior if I hadn't read I would be asked to tank a lot. Tanking just doesn't interest me.

I first rolled a Rogue because I wanted to see what it was like to be one, but didn't want to level one at the time since my Paladin tank was always asked to tank something. Sometimes I regret rolling a tank...
Anyways, the prime opportunity came about when Blizz's PTR allowed premades. I picked a Rogue and fell in love with the class. The ability to control a fight so easily like the Rogue does is insane, o_O

The rogue class is most appealing because of its ability to allow you to control your gameplay. Not only does it permit you to choose the nature of your fights and the odds of your fights, but you also shutdown enemies and control them by locking down their abilities or their ability to even do anything. Poisons, interrupts, stuns, crowd control, it's a class that offers a lot in PvP. In the realm of PvE rogues tend to be among the top DPSers if not the top in raids. Things like lockpicking, trap disarmament, safe fall are all just the icing of the cake that makes rogues a very fun class to play.
