Yes, if your damage shows in red on your character sheet you're in Aspect Of The Viper. Go into a different aspect and the red damage will disappear.

Also, be aware, that there may be a bug. I had this happen to me once before, but only once. I was in AotH, but my damage was red like I was still in AotV. It cleared up after a logged.
It can also happen if you have a debuff on your person. OR, I think if your equipment isn't repaired and broken.

If you have the
Focused Fire
talent and do not have your pet out, this results in losing a damage buff, and your damage
may
show in red, even if it is at 100%.
If you're using outfitter addon, an outfit, such as the default 'Normal' will show it's name in red if one or more items in that outfit are not available to equip (replaced, vended, or banked).
If the
name of an item
is in red, it requires repair.
The new
Aspect of the Viper
now has a damage decrease as part of it's buff, and will cause your damage to display in red.
May be some combination of these possible problems, hope this helps.

Do you have a little man over on the right hand side of the screen with with body parts in Red? If that's the case, go repair your equipment.
Also, hit "C" and look at your character, then switch between AoH and AoV, you'll see the reduction in ranged damage of 50%. You should seldom be in AoV.
