Why no /Ignore ability?

There's quite a few members who believe debates are won by tearing down the other person as a person, thinking that it will invalidate their opinions.
Why doesn't wowhead have the ability to /Ignore certain posters? There exists a large number of members who I frankly have zero wish to read anything they may post.

I honestly don't understand the need for an ignore feature on a forum...you don't want to read something, don't read it.
Ignoring the person is actually doing the exact thing you seem to be against. Because I don't like your argument or means of arguing, I'm going to ignore everything you say.

Ignore on forums is very bad. It make you to not see certain posts but you see other people replying to the ignored posts and might think they are talking about something else or whatever and then you reply based on wrong information and make a fool of yourself or give to others the feeling that YOU are now the one trolling and then they ignore you, making an endless vicious circle.

Which would happen if you were on shrooms...but more than half of the recent gallop pole proved that wowhead users need an average dosage of WoW per day, otherwise mental withdrawals are experienced.
Withdrawal symptoms include but are not limited to :
More physical activity
not practicing kissing Jania produmore on your pillow
not standing in the mirror pretending to be the lich king
not having dreams about finally getting that sword drop from naxxramas (actually happened! I had a dream because it wasnt
dropping the rest of this $%^& im just making up..or am i >.> )

Most forum software shows a notice that a post has been hidden in place of the original post.
While a valid suggestion from the OP, forum development takes a backseat to the development of other features. It may be some time before forum features are implemented.

Yeah I know most forum software just hide the text but leave the post. My post was acknowledging it.
