Why no Tank Plate for JPs?
Return to board index
Updating my guide, I realized that there is no Plate with Dodge or Parry that you can get for Justice Points. Why is that? You can get items for Valor, and you could get Plate Dodge/Parry items with JPs in Cata. Why do you think they did this?
Not sure- I can't imagine why they'd intentionally leave it out, and it seems like an odd unintentional oversight.
I think it might be because they changed how a lot of the tanking mechanics work. I know that my former guilds MT wore a good deal of DPS gear as does my paladin. Mainly because STR now gives parry.
Just my thoughts, could be wrong
From the beginning, hit and mastery were a tank's key components. You gem and reforged for dodge and parry. I would say this is why. There's still a lack thereof on raids drops, but with the hit and expertise and using cooldowns accordingly, it's not noticeable at all.
If we're talking the 458 MoP tanking plate hear, I'm guessing it's because there's the whole Masterwork Spiritguard set that's 450.
There's no similar crafted DPS plate.
JemiS' right - I couldn't remember what I had before I started getting better gear. I was like "where the eff did I get gear from?" Then I remember it was crafted - pretty reasonably priced too, especially if you can get it for free from a guildie!
