Will a GM be able to help me?

Well, yesterday I was having a bad day and was totally out of it. I realized I had enough Justice Points to buy some gear. I finally saw something for a head slot, it was an upgrade, and I didn't notice what material it was made of and just bought it.
Then about 2 hours later, I was comparing my new helm with other gear on WoWHead, and that's when I noticed that I had accidentally bought something made of cloth, when I need leather.
So I'm wondering, if I ask a GM if there's anyway I can get a refund, get the other helm, or get my Justice Points back, will he be able to help?

I don't know, I suspect that there's no UI way of sending you 2000 JP. It's not like mailing an item or some gold to you. That's what the two-hour returns period is there for.

Alright, well thank you.
I'm going to try and ask one. Hopefully there is a way they can refund me.
I did something similar on my Tank once, bought a mail shoulder piece. I didn't notice it till the next day, and yes, they (a Blizz GM) did exchange it for me.
