What made you start playing WoW? And what was it like when you first started?
Post stories here!
As for me, my mom is a huge south park fan. She bought the DVD with the South Park Episode and it came with a 14 day free trial CD. I pop it in my laptop, and begin my Journey into WoW......
I decided to roll a priest, I thought being able to heal myself would be OP. Anyways, I log on (keep in mind, the only thing I know about MMORPGs is that I watched the South Park WoW Episode.... so I was pretty noobish.) then I try to take down a boar..... but I did not know at all how to cast, so I just smacked him with my mace. :P
Though I was noobish, mobs in the lvl 1-6 areas are still very easy, killed it without even half my health going down. Then I decided I thought I could survive outside the noobie place, so I leave Shadowglen at level 2.(it was a Night Elf Priest.)
After many adventures of getting owned (I even ended up making it all the way over to the place the Warriors do their quest for Defensive Stance, and got owned by the Satyr person) I returned to Shadowglen and did it the right way, doing quests and leveling up. When I got to lvl 21 on my priest, I started to get bored, started a Hunter, and I'm still playing him to this very day. (And yes.... I did learn how to cast and crap.)

A friend of mine told me about WoW, when i was still playing WC3.
I told him "no way, i'm not going to play your stupid game!"
I must have told him that, like 20 times.
A while later, he convinced me to give it a try.
I started as a human paladin, the idea of a holy knight was appealing to me.
Here i am, 4 years later, still playing.
I've played every class, every spec, and i still play my first paladin.
