You can also use an addon like Carbonite. It's not a levelling guide per se, but it's an extra minimap for when you're playing that shows which areas you need to go for all the quests, where all the special named NPC's, items, etc. are and highlights mobs when you hover over them to mark them for quests or not.
It won't tell you what quests to do to get the best time-xp-gold ratio, but it will double or triple the speed with which you quest (or at least, it did for me).
You can get it on Curse or any other of the addon sites...

Definitely get QuestHelper from Wow-curse.com. Its saved me loads, showing me where to go, what to kill, who to talk too.
