How is the Wowhead profiler going to effect those of us who earned achievements in the downtime? Just curious as to if I will get credit for my posts in my site reputation/

Not entirely sure what you are asking, but the Wowhead profiler and the site achievements aren't linked, short of the 1 or 2 achievements that require profiler use.
So as far as I know you shouldn't have any issues gaining reputation or achievements.

Moved to Wowhead Feedback (anything about the site belongs here - anything about the game belongs in General).
CalaelenDT is right, they're not linked. The Profiler is for your WoW characters and it gets most of its info straight from Blizzard.
