Personally I'm hoping it will be the 4th of November 12:01am sell since my birthday is Nov. 3rd and I should have 4 days off and extra money! However I would rather blizz put it back a month or two and avoid the unstable server issue of BC!
You do realize that the new day starts at 12:00, not 12:01, right?

By law a company cannot offer pre-orders of a product without providing a specific release date. That release date does
not
have to be provided by the vendor, and is typically noted in the pre-order receipt/agreement as "subject to change as information becomes available".
That November 5th may be based on something that Blizzard has told the upper-ups of Gamestop/whatever. Or they could have based it on expected marketing trends. Or they could've consulted their Ouija board. Or they could have just pulled it out of thin air.
It'll be available when it's done. I'm in the camp that believes it should be released when it's ready - and (based on viewing over my roommate's shoulder, who is in beta) even though it looks beautiful and there are pieces of it that are solid and stable, there are many others that aren't ready for public consumption yet.
