Why would you need a cooling system? The new xbox 360 slims already have a decent cooling system that work well as long as you keep the area next to the air vent away from stuff. I have a 360 slim and I love it, way better then the normal 360 or the elites(which I had both...damn you red ring). If you have a problem with the current setup then you're doing it wrong.

I think he's been enjoying his console a lot and is looking to preserve that.
But I would be careful about using third party cooling systems, some of them do a lot more harm than good.

Should have absolutely no problems with keeping it preserved. Like I said it will not overheat unless you put the vent next to something(which if you use common sense is a derpa der). The cooling systems I have used on my other 360's really didn't cool the 360 they way you would like, I found they cool the outside of the 360 but did not do anything for the core cooling.
