The Basics

It's Happy Hour Somewhere: Once requiring alcoholic beverages, this now works on any drink in the game. Again, find various innkeepers and bartenders--should be an easy achievement.

Drown Your Sorrows: Added in 4.1, you'll need to track down new beverage added in Cataclysm. Here's an easy table:

Tastes Like Chicken: We've listed tons of food in this guide, so you should have no problem hitting the required amount. As mage and vendor food counts, just head to a major city and buy all the items from the food and drink vendors. It's also possible for a level 1 to get this achievement if they make sure to grab every type of holiday food.

The Outland Gourmet: Not many Outlands recipes are from trainers (only Stewed Trout, Fisherman's Feast, and Hot Buttered Trout); you'll have to do a lot of traveling here--quests, vendors, and drops from dailies

Second That Emotion: You can either farm these BoP recipes with 400 cooking in Northrend, or you can buy the finished 'emotion' foods from the AH: Bad Clams, Haunted Herring, Last Week's Mammoth, Tasty Cupcake.

The Northrend Gourmet: You'll collect these recipes through drops, quests, trainers, and vendors upon completing dailies.

The Cataclysmic Gourmet: Most of these recipes can be purchased with Ironpaw Token from Cataclysm dailies. The others are from trainers and unlocked by guild achievements.

Cataclysmically Delicious: Added in 4.1, you'll need to sample different foods added in Cataclysm. The term "select vendors" generally means less than 10 NPCs sell an item, and even if numerous vendors in major cities sell something listed, chances are you can't find it in Undercity.

Dwarf: Unsurprisingly, the dwarves have some unique booze: Rhapsody Malt and Thunder Ale.

Human: Humans have a fondness for bread and cheese, supported by the vendors of the Trias family. Elaine Trias sells cheeses of all levels from all zones, while Lucian Trias in Dalaran has a few surprises like portable cheese wheels and Fresh Dalaran Bread. Elling Trias, a former spy and rogue in The Missing Diplomat, appears to have gotten his wish from Elling Trias' Copper Coin and now peacefully manages the shop in Stormwind.

Night Elf: The food sold by vendors in Night Elf zones such as Dendrythis tends to have a Korean take-out slant: Bean Soup, Cabbage Kimchi, Darnassus Kimchi Pie, Heaven Peach, Radish Kimchi, Steamed Mandu, Versicolor Treat, Wild Ricecake.

Worgen: Chris Moller, found by Duskhaven, informs players: "Pie is far better than cake. Everyone knows that! Shouldn't a of your standing be well-informed about such important matters?" He sells a variety of snarky pies, but falls victim to quest phasing, so buy them before it's too late: Cheery Cherry Pie, Lots 'o Meat Pie, Mud Pie, Plumpkin Pie, Very Berry Pie.

The Alliance have a more sophisticated yet smaller assortment of booze than the Horde; neutral vendors are also likely to stock these items for the Horde too, such as Daisy and Milly Brewtap. These beverages include Bottle of Dalaran Noir, Flagon of Dwarven Mead (needed for Captain Rumsey's Lager), Flask of Stormwind Tawny (needed for Delicious Chocolate Cake), Jug of Badlands Bourbon, and Skin of Dwarven Stout.

Horde

Forsaken: Undead don't really have much of an appetite, but they have a few unique recipes: Innkeeper Shay at Tarren Mill sells Southshore Stout and Chef Audrey sells Thrice-Spiced Crunchy Stew. Gwyn Farrow, in Silverpine Forest, also sells a variety of mushrooms but they aren't unique.

Goblin: Goblin food in the starting zone has a worn-out beach feel to it. Brett "Coins" McQuid sells Goblin Shortbread, Slightly Worm-Eaten Hardtack, Tarp Collected Dew, Volcanic Spring Water.

The Horde has an impressive amount of exclusive booze. (Well, mostly--a few of the listed beverages are available from neutral vendors like Gutcheck and Frankie Goodtimes.) Miragohn Mixmaster, bartender in Orgrimmar's Goblin Slums, and other Horde bartenders will gladly sell the following: Banana Cocktail, Bottle of Silvermoon Port, Tol Barad Coconut Rum, Cup of Frog Venom Brew, Fizzy Fruit Wine, Flask of Bitter Cactus Cider, Glass of Eversong Wine, Imported E.K. Ale, Potent Pineapple Punch, Skin of Mulgore Firewater.

Other Reputations

Vendors of the Argent Crusade in Icecrown sell sturdy food that will take light phased questing to unlock: Crusader's Rations, Crusader's Waterskin, and Steaming Chicken Soup which gives a small stamina/spirit buff.

The Ogres of Ogri'la have a fun variety of fast food, accessible via a flying mount near their quest hub. Ogri'la Keg King sells Bash Ale and Dos Ogris; Ogri'la Grubgiver sells Mingo's Fortune Giblets and Ogri'la Chicken Fingers. Eating the Giblets will grant a cheeky Bloodstained Fortune.

The Ethereals of The Consortium (Eyonix and Dealer Tariq) sell some bling refreshments: Diamond Berries, Ethermead, Lyribread, Silverwine.

As they should, members of the Darkmoon Faire sell unique and dubious finger food when the Faire is in town each month. Stamp Thunderhorn sells Forest Strider Drumstick, Corn-Breaded Sausage, Crunchy Frog, Darkmoon Dog, Deep Fried Candybar, Funnel Cake, Pickled Kodo Foot, Red Hot Wings, Spiced Beef Jerky. Sylannia sells Bottled Winterspring Water, Cheap Beer, Darkmoon Special Reserve, Fizzy Faire Drink, Fizzy Faire Drink "Classic", Fresh-Squeezed Limeade, and Iced Berry Slush which turns you blue.

New to 4.3, Rona Greenteeth sells food made from the flesh of murdered carnies in a secluded spot on Darkmoon Island: Beer-Basted Short Ribs, Draenic Dumplings, Forsaken Foie Gras, Gnomeregan Gnuggets, Green Ham & Eggs, Mulgore Meat Pie, Silvermoon Steak, Stormwind Surprise, Teldrassil Tenderloin, Troll Tartare.

Cenarion Spirits is sold by Innkeeper Coryth Stoktron, a stylishly-dressed innkeeper, of the Cenarion Expedition in Zangarmarsh.

Dried Mushroom Rations/Dried Fruit Rations requires Friendly with Honor Hold/Thrallmar.

Enriched Terocone Juice requires Friendly with Sha'tari Skyguard in Terokkar Forest.

Freshly-Speared Emperor Salmon requires Friendly with The Kalu'ak in Northrend.

Naaru Ration requires Friendly with Shattered Sun Offensive on the Isle of Quel'Danas.

As covered earlier, Blessed Sunfruit, Enriched Manna Biscuit, and Blessed Sunfruit Juice require reputation with Argent Dawn.

In Sholazar Basin, you'll do a series of quests that gives you temporary reputation boosts with both questing factions. While questing, you can buy Roasted Mystery Beast with Frenzyheart Tribe and Slow-Roasted Eel with The Oracles.

As you complete more phases of the Molten Front, clickable fruit shows up near the moonwell: Eternal Eye of Elune, Eternal Lunar Pear, Eternal Moonberry, Eternal Sunfruit. These items offer good stat bonuses but only work in the Molten Front.

Vanilla: 1-60

Surveying the vagrancy in Westfall, Mama Celeste sells the aptly-named Country Pumpkin, Hobo Surprise, and Well Water.

A former nice gnome who sold Tigule's Strawberry Ice Cream by the racetrack, Brivelthwerp has gone a bit crazy in the flooded Shimmering Flats. After completing his quests, he will also sell the delicious Brivelthwerp's Crunchy Ice Cream Bar, Frozen "Cream" Custard, Ooey Gooey Gelato, and Silithid-Free Sorbet.

Stomper Kreeg in Dire Maul North turns friendly upon completing a successful tribute run--that is, killing King Gordok with Cho'Rush the Observer alive. The other mini-bosses left alive will grant buffs, and in Stomper's case, dance and sell you booze: Gordok Green Grog, Kreeg's Stout Beatdown, Evermurky, Molasses Firewater.

Plugger Spazzring, an angry goblin in The Grim Guzzler, Blackrock Depth's Bar, sells sooty refreshments--be sure to buy from him before killing him for loot and recipes. They are Blackrock Fortified Water, Blackrock Mineral Water, Blackrock Spring Water, Grim Guzzler Boar, Pickled Egg, Plugger's Blackrock Ale, Rock-Salted Pretzel, and Sulfuron Slammer which lights you on fire and gives you a Hoarse throat.

Sweets vendors in Stormwind and Orgrimmar sell specialities like Styleen's Sour Suckerpop, Moonbrook Riot Taffy, and Bellara's Nutterbar.

Burning Crusade: 61-70

Muffin Man Moser in the Lower City sells baked goods as well as his unique Moser's Magnificent Muffin.

Barkeep Kelly in Old Hillsbrad Foothills sells some flashy drinks: Rumsey Rum Black Label, Southshore Stout, Sparkling Southshore Cider, Stouthammer Lite.

Bernie Heisten in Nethergarde Keep sells Nethergarde Bitter, needed for Gaining Mirren's Trust which rewards Alliance players with Mirren's Drinking Hat.

Black Coffee is sold by coffee aficionado Kevin Browning in the Lower City and more recently, Travis Nichols in Stormwind.

Boots was the only seller of Don Carlos Tequila for a long time--it's since been added to just Jason Goodhutch in Howling Fjord.

Wrath: 71-80

Gristlegut in Zul'Drak is a goofy and gross Abomination. He's temporarily friendly upon using Ensorcelled Choker, selling Bitter Plasma and Bowels 'n' Brains. Num, num indeed.

After completing Nuts for Berries in Coldarra, Librarian Serrah will sell Frostberries and Frostberry Juice.

All is not well in Grizzly Hills and the items from Aspen Grove Supplier confirm this: Fresh Eagle Meat, Grizzleberries, Grizzleberry Juice, Raw Tallhorn Chunk.

Winterfin "Depth Charge" is sold by Ahlurglgr, a murloc in northern Borean Tundra that turns friendly after completing Winterfin Commerce. It only costs one Winterfin Clam, which drops frequently in the area.

In addition to her larger desserts described later, Aimee in Dalaran sells individual desserts: Carrot Cupcake, Dalaran Brownie, Dalaran Doughnut, Red Velvet Cupcake.

Mei's Masterful Brew is level 85, but it's sold by mount vendor Mei Francis in Dalaran--very strange.

Applebough, looking like a resto druid, sells many types of apples and Fresh Apple Juice.

Cata: 81-85

Tasty Puffball is sold by vendors in Mount Hyjal.

The Twilight Cultists have odd culinary tastes. Grunka sells Fungus Squeezings, Murky Water, Rock-Hard Biscuit, Vile Purple Fungus. Edric Downing sells Oily Giblets and Unidentifiable Meat Dish. These NPCs are only temporarily available in late Hyjal questing, but in 4.1, Zungam in Zul'Aman sells some of these as well.

Gilnean White is only sold by Innkeeper Teresa and Lizzy "Lemons" in Twilight Highlands.

The Mine Bunny in Deadmines drop Goblin Cocktail upon dying, which can be looted for Invigorating Pineapple Punch--a bonus is that they work in arena. The mobs in regular Deadmines drop scaled down versions too.

Dark Iron: Dark Iron Tankard was a quest reward that was only available in the first few days of Brewfest '07. The quest is still sharable and working, if you can find someone with it. Dire Brew used to turn players into a Dark Iron Dwarf with class-based armor, but the dialogue appears bugged in Cataclysm.

Fishing: Outside the Violet Hold in Dalaran, players can fish up strong bottles of Half Empty Bottle of Prison Moonshine and Half Full Bottle of Prison Moonshine.

From pickpocketing: There are six types of alcohol that can be pickpocketed from level 80+ mobs: Blackheart Grog from Vashj'ir, Blood Red Ale from 80+ Cata zones, Disgusting Rotgut from Hyjal and Deepholm, Embalming Fluid from Tol Barad Peninsula and Shadowfang Keep, Gilnean Fortified Brandy from 80+ Cata zones, and Sunkissed Wine from Uldum.

Removed: Cuergo's Gold and Cuergo's Gold with Worm are still available on the AH, but no new bottles can be obtained. It was a reward from Cuergo's Hidden Treasure which was removed in Cata--and as both items are unique, players could not stack these in their bags.

TCG: Ethereal Liqueur, sold by the TCG pet Soul-Trader Beacon, can transform you into a Mutant for 10 seconds.

Tastes Like ChickenHallow's End

Hallow's End is all about tasty treats. Inside Treat Bag, which you have a chance to get every hour from an innkeeper, you can get Candy Bar, Lollipop, and Candy Corn.

Near all innkeepers are tubs of floating apples--click on it to loot Bobbing Apple.

In completing achievements like Tricks and Treats of Eastern Kingdoms, you'll get many Handful of Treats from Candy Bucket. They do not count towards your food total, but are fun sweets.

Our database is noticing some new holiday-related items like Candy Coin, so there may be more treats in the future!

Feast of Winter Veil

Smokywood Pastures vendors in all major cities like Bessbi Jinglepocket sell holiday refreshments: Blended Bean Brew, Graccu's Homemade Meat Pie, Greatfather's Winter Ale, Green Garden Tea, Holiday Cheesewheel, Honeyed Holiday Ham, Sparkling Apple Cider, Spicy Beefstick, Steamwheedle Fizzy Spirits.

Another set of Smokywood Pastures vendors in all major cities sell different refreshments: Candy Cane, Holiday Spirits, Recipe: Winter Veil Egg Nog, and Recipe: Gingerbread Cookie.

Refreshments are also found inside presents: Winter Veil Eggnog, Winter Veil Roast, and Graccu's Mince Meat Fruitcake.

There are several food-related achieevments: The Winter Veil Gourmet requires you to cook holiday items and 'Tis the Season requires you to eat the Fruitcake found in Smokywood Pastures Sampler.

Pilgrim's Bounty

Bountiful Feast was a cheap alternative to Fish Feast but only lasts for 7 days. You'll need to buy holiday-themed food from vendors to make this.

Purchasing Bountiful Cookbook from Pilgrim's Bounty Vendors will teach you a ton of new recipes using holiday-themed supplies: Candied Sweet Potato, Cranberry Chutney, Pumpkin Pie, Spice Bread Stuffing, Slow-Roasted Turkey. Learning these recipes is a great way to get to 350 cooking easily.

This holiday is all about food: many of the achievements involve it as well like "FOOD FIGHT!" and Now We're Cookin'.

Day of the Dead

Day of the Dead is a short holiday, but has two dishes associated with it: Bread of the Dead from a vendor recipe and Candy Skull from Chapman.

Children's Week

For the meta-achievement, you'll need to complete Bad Example, requiring you to find sweets from various vendors and recipes as we've highlighted on other tabs.

Special holiday vendors sell unique sweets in Stormwind and Orgrimmar: Cone of Cold, Ice Cream Bar, Ice Cream Cake Slice, Iced Berry Slush (also at the Darkmoon Faire).

Harvest Festival

The Harvest Festival awards no titles or achievements; long tables are set up outside Orgrimmar and Ironforge where players can sample foods like Harvest Boar, Harvest Bread, Harvest Fish, Harvest Nectar.

Midsummer Fire Festival

Lord of Frost's Private Label drops from Ahune's chest. Gives you a debuff called Breath Freeze!.

Fire-Toasted Bun, Toasted Smorc, Midsummer Sausage, Fiery Festival Brew, Elderberry Pie are reward options for stealing flames in enemy cities, and can also be purchased from vendors for 5 Burning Blossom.

Noblegarden

Noblegarden Chocolate is found inside Brightly Colored Egg located in starter-zones. If you eat enough, you'll get Chocoholic.

Aimee, by the North Bank in Dalaran, sells dessert platters: Big Berry Pie, Chocolate Celebration Cake, Lovely Cake.

Applebough, by the Silver Enclave in Dalaran, sells Dalaran Apple Bowl, a bowl of fruit.

Lucian Trias, a relative of the cheese-selling family in Stormwind, sells Aged Dalaran Sharp Wheel and Dalaran Swiss Wheel at the back of wine shop One More Glass.

Wine vendor Christi Stockton of One More Glass sells the following expensive drinks: Cask of Dalaran White, Cask of Dalaran Red, Bottle of Dalaran White, Bottle of Dalaran Red, Cask of Aged Dalaran Red, Bottle of Aged Dalaran Red. The red wines have a bit of controversy about them--apparently keeping them in inventory will "age" them gradually into one-time rare items like Bottle of Peaked Dalaran Red, but users have reported glitches and different time durations. Personally, I found that dropping the Bottle of Dalaran Red instantly put the Bottle of Aged Dalaran Red into my inventory, and when I dropped that too, I got a Bottle of Peaked Dalaran Red as well. I was able to drop all three bottles as well as sample them. I can't report on the effects of the other wines.

Some of the foods required for Cataclysmically Delicious were only able to be bought before completing a certain quest in Mount Hyjal or from a vendor that would randomly be spawned from using a Hex Stick on a frog in Zul'Aman.

This is no longer the case as of patch 4.3; Gronk Hamcheeks now sells all of those, located at the Crucible of Carnage in Twilight Highlands.
