3 pieces that only work for two of our shots and works at 40% for arcane shot since it's an instant. The set bonus adds one more tick of 98 damage to serpent sting.

Okay everyone just calm down, if you took the time to actually find this in the game oud realize that this is one of the new class specific sets, each class has one AND you can ONLY get your class set, WHY! Because these 3 pieces are all part of a quest reward from the troll tribe(forgot name, located in NW stanglethorn) the quests has you collect various things in ZG, 10 coins which are random drops from the basic mobs, A certain colored bijou which is a blue drop from some of the bigger mobs and a certain colored epic drop from the Main bosses. So you can only get this gear if you are a hunter and each classes hass different gear with different mats needed. You also need a certain reputation for each piece friendly for one blue, honored for another and revered for the Epic.

So all i can say is make sure you look and see what type of mats that you need and only roll on the ones that you can use at the time because youll be running this instance ALOT if you plan on getting the whole set

I have a hard time with the fact that WE the posters spend far too much time and effort posting just where it is we get an item, and who has a right to use it, than we do describing the actual mechanics and use of that item.

Don't you all get it...YET?

Most of this stuff is 'World' or �Creature� drop, and listed in the item headers before you even post.

Ok So most Hunters are saying this set is crap because of the loss of DPS and crit, I have to semi agree. I think in most Raids this is the case however fights where you can't pull Aggro or you wipe, like Onxyia, Hakkar, etc it's great, It gives you good mana and mana regen and coolsdown feign death, which you should be hitting everytime it's available. Anyways that's my thoughts, i'm defintely getting this set, despite the fact that i'm a total DM Crit build, it'll have it's uses for me

I would only use the shoulders personally.

Cool down on a ten and six second shot? Haha..funny. I can't imagine people liking it for the volley cool down since it has very selective use.

As a whole the set isn't that great, there are alot better pieces out there. But from the pieces it uses, it definately looks like a set to support other sets not stand alone really. If you take just the neck and trinket you get the 2 piece bonus for +20 attack power and the trinket is pretty nice. Then if you look around, other great sets do not include trinket or neck so you could wear this along with another set without losing the better sets bonuses.

Though I would not use the whole set the combination of the Neck and Trinket would be great. My hunter is a DPS build currently using GS/DS, so the armor would be a downgrade in most situations, though perhaps the arcane would prove beneficial against mass whelps in BWL, and the arcane vulnerable mobs past Broodlord. The trinket and neck will replace the 2% crit trinket, and the Darkmoon Faire Amulet. The two piece bonus of the set (20AP) makes the switch worth it. Also in BWL, burst damage can be extremely useful(while dodging firemaw's stacking dot, and lighting up Vael), and the trinket helps with that. Not to mention that without frequent FD's you will die(Flamegor ports you to him if you get to high on the aggro list) and in some cases take your raid with you, if you pull aggro(Broodlord's cleave and AoE Fire attack).

All i read on these comments on items, or complete sets for that matter is how they suck, and how ppl never gonna use it.
Ppl stop nagging and whining...If u dont like the set or the item, then dont bother trying to get it,but do not try to change the minds of the ppl that do want these items sets.

Its a big game played by lots of different ppl with a lot of different views on how to play the game.Simply put if u like the items/sets go for it,if u dont then leave em.

Still could be usefull in PvP. Just combine 3 items (bracers + belt + neck/trinket) with PvP set and it will reduce Concussive shot cooldown from 12 to 10 seconds.

...how many self sentered j.... there are out there, huh? ZG is the first place a growing guild can go for epics. Forget about gear from pvp, that particular guild is not doing pvp, forget about MC/BWL or the 20 man AQ that is harder than ZG. They can't go there yet. Is this a good set for the hunters of a guild like that, or parts of this set like the trinket and neck? The answer is yes in my opinion, especially if you have the flexibility to adjust your play style to take advantage of what the set gives you.

Yah, a BWL veteran with the full set from there will not want this set (just as he doesn't want the lvl 1 gear he started the game with). Fascinating that you feel the need to share that info with us guys.

i imagine that blizz designed this set for pvp hunters who like to run around....

arcane shot is only nessecary if you are following an enemy and cant wait 3 secs...here the up to +41 arcane dmg come in handy
all of the three armor pieces have got +int so you wont run low on mana during longer fights in both pvp and pve
the set decreases the cooldown of concussive shot and feign death as well as it gives you the ability to set the cd of all shots to zero...that is just great for a pvp hunter

and pls dont forget: BS has got 8 pieces...this one 5 of which 2 are not actually armor...so your BS set would greatly be upgraded with predator's armor..

and pls dont say that you should go straight to GS or DS...many guilds dont have the ability to get a 40 player grp together but are able to go to zul gurub
and just because zul gurub is newer than molten core doesnt mean that the items you can get there are better...

look the game is about individualtiy. peice togther your own items to make a set that works for you. aslo a nice tip would be to combine this witht he epics of the new hunter set coming out (beastMASTER) and the chromatic leggins.. godly for first runs of MC

Ok so yesterday i collected Trappings of the Unseen Path so combined with my Dragonstalker set it RULZ and i only get it batter with the trinket and neck of this set but if you know a batter combination tell me ...(thats for PvE) i think for PvE it would be easyer to use the Field marshal / Warlord armor set for hunters....

This items are going to receive a *significant* buff in 1.11. They gave them better total stats, and reallocated the stats into more hunter-friendliness (+dmg dropped, spirit replaced with mp/5, etc.) These are now a solid upgrade from Beastmasters for PvE. And they're easier to get, too, all you need is the faction and your primal.

So i had the 1.10 set earlier.

Using the 1.10 version, i tried spamming arcane shot more. I was barely coming close to someone with slightly better armor.

i like the 1.11 version better, since now i can go back to aimed shots instead. however it was nice with arcane shots since i didn't have to fd as much for aggro reasons.

Just finished up my full set. I'm slightly disappointed. The shoulders are not as great as Giantstalker IMO, but with my luck they'll never drop. I have Black Brood Pauldrons but they look lame as hell too. Basically, this set benefits a Marksman hunter who uses his Arcane Shot a lot. I am a Hunter who uses his Arcane Shot about once or twice per instance if I want a quick, aggro-less pull. Pretty much, this set is trying to accompany 5/8 Giantstalker, but IMO just go with Giantstalker, Onyxia Tooth Pendant, and Blackhand's Breadth/AB Trinket. The AB Trinket is better than this one >.>

uhh yer hi im kinda new at this game and i dont know much i was just wondering if you guys know of any armour that could help me out more for pvp im looking for somthing that will give me the advantage with ranged fight but will also help me when i have to ditch the bow and fight in close quarters..............and if your about to call me a noob for asking well call me a noob because i am a noob thats why im asking for a bit of help if you got some tips and hints that would be great

I've got my fancy suit of Dragonstalker gear, yet there are times where I'd like a little more utility in one area or another. I think of hunters as more than just their dps, especially in encounters that draw upon their other skills. Using Aspect of the Pack to run healers and spellcasters around after Ossirian is just one example of such.

I'm thinking about getting the bracers and putting the 4 mana / 5 sec enchantment on them, wearing the shoulders and Mana Oiling up my dual weapons for those mana-intensive fights. With my Scythe of the Unseen Path, and the very best mana oil, that's 39 mana / 5 sec. Now add Blessing of Wisdom... No Paladins (yet) Horde Hunters? Even more reason to follow suit.

Encounters are turning further and further towards adaptability, flexibility and versatility as they grow more difficult and complex, and moving away from standing in the same spot and trying to out-dps everyone else. I'll be wearing my DS for the most part, but when I need to feign that little bit more often, keep my mana high, make every concussion shot count, draw out as much Serpent Sting damage (with Wizard Oil, of course) as I can, or do a double blast of Volley/Multi-shot/Aimed Shot, don't look surprised when I break my DS set bonus for a short while...

For everyone who's asking why the +Arcane damage is even on there, or heck, even Viable..

Rapid. Fire.

If you pop rapid-fire, you're not going to waste your time throwing Aimed Shots... no, you're going to be popping every instant shot you have so that you can take FULL advantage of the +atk speed. That speed along with increased damage = even MORE DPS.

Go go +Arcane Damage!

Here is my thought , i got 5/8 tier 1 and the rest is random epics , Which makes me ( with all my gear ) 23% critical chances ( without talking the Markmenship Bonuses...)
My guild is actually doing Mc and Onyxia and yeah thats true that hunters aggro alot in instances.

Take per exemple Mc , my guild asked me to stop using Aim shot because they were pissed at healing me when i was tanking a giant destroyer , and we have a 5/8 might Main tank + quel serrar and Drill Disk.

So if u wanna get good in pve , forget tier 0 and tier 0.5 and get random epics instead....

Personally , i find the Trinket and the neck pretty useless , since firstly you can get '' Onyxia tooth pendant '' pretty easily and i prefer my Hunter Trink + blackhand breath than that &*!@...

For me these Predator pieces are not much more than a sort of in-between set (or half-set) between BM and GS. My guild does ZG just for fun (no DKPs used at all in that instance) and it's always cool to walk away with the mats that make a piece of the Predator set and give a nice fistful of gold into the bargain. They give me a sense of accomplsihment and reward even if I get nothing else that run. They will serve me fine to replace the BM parts I have, and will steadily be replaced by the GS or DS parts as I get those. Nothing truly spectacular - we can all see that by comparing them to T1+ set parts (the poster above who compared DS with Predator forgot to take into account DS's awesome set bonuses I think) - but a definite improvement over the BM set imho (unless you have got more than 3 pieces, which very few people have as far as I know). Coupled with a few pieces of BDS mail they even make a halfway decent set to grind MC with. I have this and I weave through MC no probs.

Just my two cents.

if a hunter does use this, which spec would it most likely help? I am survival spec'd and most people talk about how certian things kick ass for Marksmanship or Beast Mastery.... I am looking for some decent survival armor...

the only thing here that I absolutely love is the cooldown decrease in Feign Death tehehe...
