My main's a Hunter, and I think that most people over look the fact that we have ALOT of attacks that take Mana. I've been using this for awhile, and both the AGI and INT bonuses are nice. Spirit isn't bad either, since I solo alot. Can see why a Shammy would want too. Hoping to get the Crown of Tyranny to replace it soon though.

This helm is perfect for hunters for 3 main reasons:
1. Agility is a hunter's best friend
2. Hunter's need intellect for their stings
3. There really aren't that many good non-set helms out there for hunters.

Who really cares who it is best for? It's a quest reward, ergo, everyone can get it. it is "best" for your character if it is an upgrade to your previous helm item and you have no better to replace it.

This isn't a bad Paladin helm. I'm lvl 53 and my other helm is the Heavy Mithril helm. This one only does 200 less armor, and the difference between 6200 and 6400 armor is hardly noticeable. And with +18 intellect and +18 spirit, this is amazing for any pally regardless of spec. Paladins DO need intellect something severe, and with the agility bonus I find myself double-critting with SoC left and right. If I need the extra armor to tank (and I CAN tank), I still carry the Heavy Mithril one. All about the right tool for the job.

Excellent stats for shaman at lvl 40

Given the fact that you can get the quest at lvl 38, I'd say this helm would ROCK for my shaman at lvl 40, and possibly for quite a long time after that.

Of course the plan includes getting your four lvl60 friends to clear the way for you - it's an hour or two in an instance they swore to never visit again ;)

(oh could I recommend getting a warlock, so you can just be summoned instance enterance, and from the enterance to Jammal before the kill - the aggro you get at lvl 38 make the mobs almost run from outside the temple to get you)

This is a nice grinding helm. I use up mana faster than most casters with aimed shot, multi, and sting, so this is nice for grinding and in instances where you need your mana for multi and volley. Perhaps not so great in the battlegrounds.

as i saw in a previous comment to replace the int and spirit whit str and stam, thats not a good idea because okey take away the sprt and replace whit stam/str then u have it perfekt. shamans and hunters are not in the much use off spirit but the sure could use the agi and int!

I like how this helm looks a lot(Metal helm with a tooth-shaped visor)and it seems like a better Tough Scorpid Helm, but should I get this or break my back for a Helm of Narv? That thing has +32 Stamina(for more HP) along with 2 more Agility, not to mention more armor. They're tied by looks, though.Anyways, i cant wait to get this helm.

This is a realy nice hunter helm no not a survival or beastmaster but it rocks for a markman hunter I still use High Berg Helm. I have not finished the quest yet. The only difference is that berg has 231 armor, 10 stam, 15 intel, and 15 spirit. And exile has a nice 266 armor, 11 agil, 18 intel, and 18 spirit. Well the plus 3 intel is nice, but it is only +45 mp and the no stan is bad so with this switch of helm gives me, +32 armor, +3 intel, +3 spirit +11 agil, but -10 stam. So it is worth the change. :)

This helm is good for BOTH hunter and shaman, they both can use the stats to thier advantage. What you ppl wont realise (i see that by reading what most of you have written) that non of you understand that your tallent spec is not what must determen your stats, its your player style that shoud do that (althou it does help if your player style, Tallents and stats match). Im a shaman and elemental specked, i use both alot of ranged spells and shocks but i do get down and dirty in melee so this helm is verry good for me because i need all the stats and ofc a hunter can use this, the stats ate wonderfull for them and if someone says different be my guest. but in the end its allways your player style that determens what stats that are good for you.

i got Horns of Eranikus from a the shade of eranikus and its just as good of a shammy helm. well a resto or elemental at least. stats are +25 intell and
+11 spirit. u sacrifice some of the spirit from exile and u get a beastload of intell.

people over look that hunters need int. as much as alot of other people...i mean a hunetr w/no man is prretty bad. Also shamans need aggility to...they hit w/melee weps...so this is a great hunter and Shaman helm (the dpirit is just a nice add on)

O ya.....and warriors and paladins.....if ur a warrior y would u want this.....no stam...no strength....and gives int and spirit(plus its mail) but play's....pretty good for them (but theres better)

This is a really nice shaman helm. Too bad you have to go to Sunken Temple to get it. I hate that instance.

I dont really get the conflict if this is better for Hunters or Shamans, its nice for both of them and becuse you dont loot this from a boss or anything it's a pretty pointless thing to argue about.

Although i must say for a melee shaman (im thinking of myselft)this helm isnt very nice becuse of the lack in both strenght and stam. The SM helm is actually pretty nice untill you can get the epic head at lvl 58.

Although i cant say its great for hunters theres not much else out there. mail hunter helms suck till ur in high 50's. right now at lvl 46 i got embrace of the lycan cause theres no mail helm that i can justify giving up embrace from which i get 118 armour, +5 spi, +16 sta, +8 str, and +32 attack power. ALthough i have no use for the str, +32 attack power gives you more AP from any helm till beastalkers. and for everyone saying "thats a druid helm" or "thats a rogue helm" just cause somethings leather doesnt mean a hunter cant use. We need AP and i am more than willing to sacrifice 100 armour which hunters really dont need in order to have +15 more AP than the best mail helm at that lvl.

since this is a quest reward that means that you can use it as soon as u finish the quest nomatter what lvl you are right, so what lvl can u get this quest at the minimum lvl.

It wasnt so hard, priest shackles undeads and shamans use tremor totems like i did. We even killed eranikus and highest lvl in group was 54 (warrior).

i really like this one. got on my hunter(he had a really crappy head armor).
and ST was not hard at all, so this is easy-to-get rare reward!

The quest is not very easy. First, you have to kill 5 or 6 named mobs that are standing on balconies above the main temple arena. They fall easy, but to get to them, you need to take down a number of patrols that are all around 48-50 elites and lvl 47 imps.

Once you take them all out, you will see a message saying "The shield is down", at which point you go down to the arena level, and have to kill 3 groups of dragons to get to where Jammal'an is, thru a wide corridor on the east side of the arena. Each group has 2 or 3 lvl 52+elite dragonkin, with 4 or 5 lvl50 little dragons.

Once you pass these three groups, you will get to Jammal's chamber, where there are 5 or 6 groups of undead trolls, that can fear you. Safest approach is to have someone pull one group at a time all the way to the back of the hall, so if any of your party members is feared, he won't run into the rest of the mobs and aggro everyone else.
Also, when killed, some of them release a elite spirit that moves very slowly and attacks you. You cannot kill them. Just walk away from the spirits and they'll fade away, otherwise you can keep hitting them over and over and they won't go away at all.

Once you clean all the groups, all that's left is Jammal'an and one other named mob. Have the main tank keep Jammal'an busy, take out the second guy, and concentrate on Jammal'an once you're done.

Thanks Codice Very well walked through havent gotten it fer my hunter yet but have helped a few in guild to do it. I know most every hunter wants this bad boy on there head and the look alone is awsome.

A must have helmet for shaman and hunters alike on the horde and im guessing not to unpopular with the pally either hehe. From what i understand you have to kill all of the guards of the doorway to get to this guy. the guards are all undead named that do not have a specific loot like most instance bosses. They are out on a balcony all by themselves and hold their hands up in a green glow to keep the door shut.

This looks like it might be decent for hunter pre-raid in p2 of SOD.
Quest requires 38, boss is 54.
Honestly that sounds like a fun challenge, maybe with 3 hunters and a healer/tank or just 4 hunters and a healer.
