Not a bad mace for a pally if they plan on healing at the lower levels. Other than that, it really doesn't have much affect for priests because of the illusionary rod and hypnotic dagger available to them in the same instance.

If you don't need it as a pally, sell it and take the 1.8g

Some may say otherwise but this mace is actually a very nice rogue weapon for its level. It is nice and slow and has awesome top-end damage for a mainhand weapon.

I hope to get this mace for my shaman. Not only would it's speed be ideal for using stormstrike with, but the added healing never hurt either.

This is a great mace. I just hit 40 on my enhance shaman and im using this to duel wield with. Not only does it hit good it has an extra healing boost that is always good with a shaman.

After my first kill of Whitemane, this dropped.
I feel pretty lucky because I had been looking for a nice mace to use with the orb quest reward from doing SM. I can not use it yet, but it looks pretty nice for a Priest like me with the + to healing spells.

I'm way past SM, but I couldn't help but see this glaring contradiction and comment on it.

This weapon is awesome for a shaman. As rogues have been talking about the SS benefits, this gives great procs with windfury too. I'm a 1h + shield shaman and I think that this is the best weapon out there fo my lvl. It's slow enough so the base damage is quite nice -> windfury hits on average 80+100+100 atleast! Imagine the crits then.

Also, as I use lesser healing wave during the fights, I can assure you that the +15 healing will benefit me as I might cast 2-3 wawes in a row.

About the +8 spirit then: In my opinion it's pretty stupid to say that it doesn't mean anything... Ok, if +8 spirit is all that you have in your gear, then it doesn't help you, but of course we have other equipment with spirit, so when fighting a long fight, this might be the one to give you the last and saving heal.

I'm not saying that no other classes could use this, but I was blown away by the fact that there was no decent arguments about this "being a Shaman weapon". I don't know that much about my fellow Paladins, but I guess that they would have an open slot for this weapon, if this would drop.

I have both lvl 60 priest and lvl 60 rogue.
This weapon would be good for the following classes:

-Rogue; Highest base damage and best combat rogue weapon around this lvl.(however, the other stats on this mace wouldn't benefit rogue at all)

-Priest; Nice +healing bonus, nice spirit BUT there isn't much +healing gear around for low lvl priests and +healing gear is only good when stacked alot, same goes for spirit. As a priest, i would rather go for illusionary rod from SM library.

-Paladin; Would be ok for paladins. Nice damage and on top of that, the other nice healing stats.

-Druid; Same as priest.

-Shaman; VERY nice for shamans. +healing helps, +spirit helps and the massive damage CERTAINLY helps.

A rogue and shaman would probably use this alot. Priests and druids would probably take illusionary rod instead and paladins would probably grab The ravager or bonebiter and stick with it(considering that most paladins think they are melee dps class).

I'm a lvl 44 druid. Been running Cath for about 6 lvls now, not dropped once. One day maybe.
As for whose class this benefits its for whoevers can use maces, heal and fight. Therefore benefitting Shaman, Pally and Druid the most. Should none of said classes want or need mace then its up for grabs for anyone else who can use.

No healer would take this over Illusionary Rod. +15 healing isn't enough to stack at that level unless you have a lot of +healing greens, which is a waste from having no stats.

This item is ment for a shaman/paladin IMO because of the melee damage. But a Rogue/warrior have every reson to roll on it as well.

I got it today..a 60 shaman ran me through...i am a 35 Shaman on Stormreaver...The 2 handed Hammer both dropped in the same run..great run for me.

I'm a 39 shaman. I went to SM, hoping it would drop, I was only the healer, it was guaranteed mine. Whitemane drops it, and a warrior also rolls Need and wins...

I just left in disgust.

...i agree with the above said, while +14 is just not very much, it doesn't mean its instantly a priests/pallys, rogues should have a fair shot at this, just need roll it, who ever gets it wins, big deal. now don't get all angry at me, i'm a pally, i got this wep and the aegis of the scarlet because sometimes its handy to tank and heal, the weapon has nice dps, but i forfeited it the first time it dropped because a rogue wanted it, and he had gotten nothing the whole run (there isn't much rogue gear in SM), because i had the Heaven's Light in my bank waiting till 40, thats a higher dps better stat wep, and got mine for cheap! I now switch between the Heaven's light for dps/tanking, and the Hand of righteousness when i heal, along with the aegis.

Every one can have a shot at this one, except people who cant use maces, unless nobody in group needs it!

I'm sure when techs at blizzard added this weapon to the game they intended it to be used by casters. (Shamans/Pallies/Priests). However, there are better weapons available from Scarlet Monestary than this weapon. The Illusionary rod is more practicle. Because of it's stats it is great for grinding and healing. And if you are like me, then I would go for the Hypnotic Blade and the off-hand from SM Grave Yard for a pure dmg build. This is especillay true because as of the BC patch +healing is scaled down when you are lower then lv 60. (so I've heard)

As for the rogue, you have the coldrage daggar and torturing poker for off-hand, but nothing with high top end for main-hand. Then for combat you have 2 great swords with the quest sword (sword of omen or serenity) and the vanquishers sword. Van. = mh, omen = oh. But then there is this mace. Wow! With a top end of 19 points higher then either of those swords this is the ULTIMATE main hand weapon for a rogue at this level. For a 39 twink it is godly. Please casters, pass this to a rogue. I hope this educates people about the value this weapon has to rogues because I don't see many if any rogues ever using it.

My comments and lists of weapons are based on BOP weapons only, spending mounds of gold on a lv 39 character is just silly unless he/she will be your bg twink. Regardless this mace is clearly the best combat main-hand weapon for a rogue BOP or BOE pre lv 40, and as for BOPs partially to lv 49. Because the hand of Antu'sul has an aoe proc which limits its use in instances.

I don't think people actually understand... as a level 40 healer, +15 healing is NOT that big... Like this is a good healing weapon but don't think since it only has stats benefiting a healer, the damage is really nice making it very good for a pally, shammy, druid and rogue. So honestly Priests don't go off thinking you should get this over anyone because of all those classes you benefit the least of it because you don't melee which is why this weapon pwns. I use this with the Aegis of the Scarlet Commander (I'm a Paladin) and with Reckoning I rip people apart.

i as rogue found this when a guildie was walking me through SM it is about the weapon with the most DPS on that level so it also is a rogue weapon (the bummer is i just bought an epic (Ardent Custodian)and it seems this hammer is better) + the healing part is always handy because it also effects teh healing done on you

man my lvl 36 shammy would love this mace and the sheild and i would have a pvp wepon Morgan's Might so i would be all set with my mace sheild and my mail all i need is some bracers and boots lf the scarlet i have the scarlert leggings,gloves,and the belt so i look like a mini herod with grunts taburd lol so if anyone on uldum sever gets anything of the scarlet that i dont have and u dont need i would very much appriciat if u gave me them ty :)

I farmed this mace for the top end dmg (I'm a combat rogue) in hopes of spending some time in WSG at level 39. It finally dropped after my 7th run and I was able to turn in another SM quest for a blue off-hand dagger. I was thrilled...

Then on my way to the battlemasters in IF not ten minutes later, I noticed I had Mythology of the Titans to turn in too. Not thinking, I swung by the NPC clicked complete and VOOM leveled to 40... After all those runs I had only half a bar left to level.

That ruined my weekend :(

Paladin, Priest, or Shaman weapon ONLY. My main is a rogue btw and i have none of theese classes, so im not arguing just because im a paladin....

You need to reroll for you know nothing of rogues. If you take a weapon with int and sprit just because it had high dmg you need to reroll. This wep is slow and gives no rogue stats. You said you can only do a max of 120 ss's at lvl 42? When i was 39 on my rogue along time ago i used sword of serenity and vamnquishers sword, same as you. I stacked agil and attack power. I easily critted for 350ss with SS and did a 452 with berserking once. Dmg means nothing for a rogue its about speed and stats for burst dmg not hitting high. Ill never forget when i was in wsg at 39 and an amazing twink with dual wsg dags and stacked agil ambushed me for 1k then did backstab for 600, the rest of the burst dmg was so quick that i died witin 6 secs and couldnt even hit back.

Got it yesterday from Cathedral. We made chatedral-run 2 times, cause our mage wanted the amulet of the inquisitor. The mace droped me in the wirst run, along with the Aegis of the Scarlet Commander. My lvl 43 paly is very hapy now :)

Dps classes always whine about shadow priests rolling on items with damage... but dps classes are allowed to roll on stuff with +healing. I don't get it.

Vanquisher's Sword it isn't easy, first of it its the boss's rare drop, ussualy dropping hat or necklace every kill. secondly, almost every other player alive will want it too. warriors/rogues want it for dmg, priests/druid/shm/pal want it for +heal. would be nicer if they gave us something else in sm/uld to get, so all class's wouldn't be after same thing, but i didn't set the system up.

I am a level 45 dwarf priest (shadow) that got this over a pally. He let me have it. I had hypnotic blade and he had something better than both. I LOVE it. It is fantastic. And I need the dps since I solo a lot.

I use it wih the orb from the undead in SM and Jaina's Firestarter as my wand..Love them all!

I ran SM quite a few times on my warrior and never seen it. I no longer have the warrior, but brought my priest to SM 2-3 times and on my last time it dropped. =D

oooh. and I got the necklace, too.. Trimune's Amulet? Is that from SM? And wherever you get the Chapeau (helm) from. I am on kick-ass priest, I think..For now. lol Slowly working my way out of those.

With https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=5842/unrefined-ore-sample it makes a nice combo.

Overall you would have +14 int, +14 spr +9 dmg and healing. That rivals, and in some people's opinion beats the Illusionary Rod. Though it takes a bit more work to get.

Plus it looks cool using a dagger.

This is an awesome weapon for a rogue twink at 39.
Highest damage than any other weapon for an SS spec'd rogue.
I'm planning to get one, once I get to 37 or 38, I'm going to ask if it's alright to roll on it first, of course.
I used this on my other rogue on a different server to pvp with, it is by far the best weapon to use until you can afford a bloodrazor or the phantom blade.

My rogue won a roll for this. Don't ever let anyone tell you that this weapon is more suited to other classes and not at all meant for rogues. Sure a Paladin or a Shaman would drool over this weapon too. And rogues don't exactly have anything in the way of heals (and also looking at you AoE and cleave, sigh). But if the main stat, in this case "damage" for a rogue, is an upgrade then go ahead and "need". Make sure you equip, as i did, and in the next run show everyone just how extra awesome you are!

After all, in the scheme of things we are levelling and this weapon and everything else at this level are in no way meant to be a final "BiS" build. In a few levels our armour and weapons are discarded, although, hehehe, to be honest I think this weapon will last me for a bit!

(Yup, aware of Vanquisher's Sword. Let's see what happens when I get to that stage!)

Best weapon a rogue can get at this level. A rogue has equal if not more rights to this weapon than any other class.

BiS mainhand for rogues and warriors.
Your dps doing higher dmg means fights last less time meaning you need to heal less.

Give this to your rogues first.
