We also have a video of Blizzard's own 6.0.2 Survival Guide :
Below we've listed our most popular guides for the prepatch, covering what's new, the event in the Blasted Lands\/UBRS, gearing changes, and how to play your class in the patch. Also do keep in mind that if you do not see 6.0.2 information on a database page or some links look odd, it is most likely due to cache. The database is updated on our end, just clear your browser cache to update the page.
We've also started up a blog documenting all the known bugs, hotfixes, and patch note clarifications.
This guide covers all the content and system updates coming in the Warlords of Draenor prepatch--before the expansion hits.

Class information is a crucial resource for players in the prepatch with all the spell changes, so our expert guide writers have updated their beginner class guides for the prepatch and level 100. We've gone for brevity, to give you just the core facts you need to get started, without bogging you down with hugely detailed strategies.

600k More Subs, Hotfixes and Patch Notes for Patch 6.0.2, Warlords Class Tuning Changes
2014/10/13 at 8:09 PM
Blizzard has released the final patch notes for tomorrow's Patch 6.0.2: The Iron Tide! We can't do our usual TL;DR, as these are the final notes, and nothing is marked as changed. We've also added in the latest round of beta class changes--these are hotfixes, and as such, cannot be datamined and visible on Wowhead tooltips just quite yet.
WoW now at 7.4 Million Subscribers
Blizzard published a press release today, detailing that WoW was at 7.4 million subscribers on September 30th. This 600,000 sub gain is no doubt an indication of the excitement at the end of a content drought. This is no doubt welcome news for Blizzard after the most recent investor call had the game at 6.8 million.
Legendary Cloak Still Required for Ordos in 6.0
Community Manager Rygarius has posted the following on the official forums:
Edit: Spoke too soon. The change below has been reverted. Eligibility for loot from defeating Ordos has not changed. It still requires one of the characters on an account license to have obtained the Legendary Cloak.
Access to Ordon Sanctuary or eligibility for loot from Ordos no longer requires players to have completed the Legendary Cloak questline.
Don't forget that newly boosted characters for 6.0 don't get all their abilities just yet. This is an excerpt from the patch notes which you can read in full below.:
Newly Boosted Characters now start on the front lines in the Blasted Lands, doing whatever they can to stop the Iron Horde pouring out of The Dark Portal and start with a basic set of spells and abilities for their class. Characters unlock the rest of their spells and abilities by advancing through the Iron Horde Incursion world event in the Blasted Lands.

Since many gear details are changing as well, we\u2019ve put in a refresher course on item changes relevant to the prepatch as well!
We also have a guide to everything new in 6.0.2, a look at the special prepatch event, and a guide to removed content--time is running out!

Justice and Valor Point Gear
As Valor Point and Justice Point items now cost a few hundred gold, this means you have many epic items available for purchase.
\tEpic ilvl 489 gear formerly cost Justice Points. If you have an ancient 90 that doesn\u2019t have boosted gear, these are sold choices for all slots except weapons. Sold by
--click on the NPC to see all of the the items.
\tEpic ilvl 522
gear formerly cost Valor points. While most of this gear requires Friendly, each boss gives 300 reputation and trash gives reputation too from Neutral to Friendly. Plus, you can buy the ilvl 522 neck at Neutral. All slots are covered except weapons, with Shoulders requiring Exalted and probably not that practical for gearing up quickly. Sold by
\tTransmog tip: a lot of old Cataclysm tier pieces that cost Justice Points are now available for gold--try out a new mog!
