2015/07/13 at 1:29 PM
6.2 has brought with it a myriad of gearing options and a wide range of item levels and accessibility to that gear. Below we have listed all the newly available gear by item level with links to the filters for that gear, as well as links to guides on how to obtain it!\r
Hellfire Citadel LFR continues to unlock over the next few months, so this overview can help you hit your ilvl 650 requirement to run it!\r
If you have an excess amount of Apexis Crystals, purchasing the ilvl 650 Baleful items from Tanaan Jungle is a quick way to gear up. If you have an excess amount of gold, old pre-6.2 Apexis Items from vendors in Stormshield and Warspear now cost gold, and range between ilvl 630 and ilvl 670.
Supreme Lord Kazzak
is a new world boss who drops ilvl 705 gear for level 100 players in Tanaan Jungle.\r
You can increase your chance at getting Hellfire Citadel,

Guide to Getting the ilvl Requirements for Heroic Dungeons (610) and Molten Core/Highmaul LFR (615)
2014/11/19 at 1:26 PM
This guide covers how to hit your ilvl 610 requirement for Heroic Dungeons and the ilvl 615 requirement for Molten Core. It focuses mostly on gear in the ilvl 610-630 range that you can easily get close to the launch of Warlords of Draenor, such as rare spawns, questing, Normal Dungeons, and
Gear that you can get a little bit later or with more effort, such as Challenge Mode items, fully upgraded crafted gear, Normal Highmaul loot, or loot from ilvl follower missions will not be covered in great detail. For those sources and more, check out our general Warlords Gearing Guide.
The other requirement for Heroic Dungeons is Proving Grounds Silver. Our Warlords Proving Grounds Silver guide covers descriptions of all waves and basic strategies for Tank, Healer, and DPS Silver.
Also, check out our strategies to all dungeons, so you’re prepared when you finally get the item level to queue up!

Warlords of Draenor Early Gearing Guide
2014/11/05 at 12:02 PM
This guide provides an overview of how to gear up in Warlords of Draenor! While some ways take longer or require more effort than others, we’ve described all the ways you could reasonably get gear in the first month or so.
We’ve also covered how you can modify/enhance your stats (gems, enchants, consumables) and a table sorting gear by slot and item level.
Warlords Questing (505-610)
As you quest and level up in Warlords of Draenor, you will inevitably get rid of your Siege of Orgrimmar gear. Here are some factors to keep in mind besides the item level:
Trinkets from Siege of Orgrimmar have reduced effectiveness at level 91 and higher, such as
Assurance of Consequence
All specs have an “attunement” spell that boosts a specific secondary stat by 5%. Several specs have stat boosts for new stats that are not plentiful on Siege of Orgrimmar gear, such as Holy Priests with
. Consider picking up quest items with this stat.
While quest gear does not come with sockets or set bonuses, it has a small chance to be 10 or 20 item levels higher than the quest log displays.
Gearing Guide for the 6.0.2 Prepatch: Gearing up Quickly, Changed Gems, Enchants, and More
2014/10/12 at 11:59 AM
With currency changes coming in the prepatch and an item level requirement for the special version of UBRS, we thought we’d put together a guide on some easy new ways to get gear. Since many gear details are changing as well, we’ve put in a refresher course on item changes relevant to the prepatch as well!
We also have a guide to everything new in 6.0.2, a look at the special prepatch event, and a guide to removed content--time is running out!
Gearing up Quickly
Justice and Valor Point Gear
As Valor Point and Justice Point items now cost a few hundred gold, this means you have many epic items available for purchase.
Epic ilvl 489 gear formerly cost Justice Points. If you have an ancient 90 that doesn’t have boosted gear, these are sold choices for all slots except weapons. Sold by
--click on the NPC to see all of the the items.
Epic ilvl 522
gear formerly cost Valor points. While most of this gear requires Friendly, each boss gives 300 reputation and trash gives reputation too from Neutral to Friendly. Plus, you can buy the ilvl 522 neck at Neutral. All slots are covered except weapons, with Shoulders requiring Exalted and probably not that practical for gearing up quickly. Sold by
Transmog tip: a lot of old Cataclysm tier pieces that cost Justice Points are now available for gold--try out a new mog!
