Oh your sub expired? And then Blizz has to let go of employees? What an odd coincidence! Neither you nor Blizzard is a charity, they can only keep so many people employed after how much their stocks dropped and you are free not to spend your money on entertainment that you no longer get entertained by, and both lead to people losing their jobs.

I am glad to hear that development jobs are safe (for those that have remained!), but I wonder where exactly the "8%" of cuts will come from?
Mostly overseas, over the next few months; and if not from development, is it esports and publishing (PR/CS/marketing)?
We do know that Blizzard severance packages are substantial but my heart goes out to those that are laid off, losing a job at Blizzard must be heartbreaking; say what you want about Acti-Blizz, but actually getting to work for them is a milestone for many professionals.

Short term profit baby. I see enough companies over here and even the german army with mckinsey advisors and how f... borked they are with them.
