I will be curious how Blizzard will look numbers-wise next financial thing. My guess is poorly.
And simple games at King destroys complicated games at Blizzard in revenue.
Actually ARM port of wow for windows 10 was allready announced earlier this year.
Activision provides 6.2$ net revenue per monthly userKing provides 2.5$ net revenue per monthly userBlizzard provides 16.7$ net revenue per monthly userAverage Blizzard player gives company 2x more than Activision player and King player combined. Yet we still had to wait 8 months for a new patch which isn't as good as it could be. "City of secrets" is just a bunch of ruins, where only "secret" is random drop which we convert to reputation. Instead of digging some treasures, we are collecting mushrooms containing Horadric Cubes. Instead of interesting expeditions to discover city secrets, we have stupid world quest requiring to kill 10 of mobs to collect their nails. We supose to discover an ancient realm, yet we got another Maw which is called Korthia. To make players wanting to play even more, we won't get another patch quite soon, no no no. We will get not one, but TWO! TWO mobile craps filled with in app purchases! Is this an out of season april fools joke?PS: Do you know what is real april fools joke? Hearthstone expansions have better story than World of Warcraft...
People are too addicted to stop playing regardless of how stupid the lore is or how much they ignore us and they will continue to skate by on bad or lacking content. So I guess they will just keep putting in the minimum effort and taking in cash from micro transactions.
Activision - 127 million monthly active users, up from 150 million in Q1 2021?
