We suggested this exact idea during a raid today in a "wouldn't it be cool if..." context and it's a joy to see it announced by Blizzard so soon after that conversation. This is the perfect way to deal with world buffs. Thumbs up Blizzard!
well... there went the "classic" aspect of what Classic TBC was back then...You might as well rename the whole reboot WoW Redux, WoW TBC Redux. Soo many changes to the game makes TBC and Vanilla wow not even classic anymore. They are releasing Muru without his devastating knockback that was a guild progession wall and killer back in the day and Lady Vashj is also being released nerfed. Back then lady vashj was a mechanic/dps check for those who cleared it. the seal of blood/vengeance being learned at 70 instead of 64 is another change they plan to do. those of us who played TBC the first time knew that there was a bug that made seal of blood stronger than seal of Vengeance. we took world buffs into raids and there were no issues. now they want to implement a The Chronoboon Displacer...which captures world buffs and stores it as an item...something retail TBC NEVER HAD. I can imagine when Wrath Redux comes out what changes will they implement that wasnt in the retail Wrath....sad the way things have gotten with this small indie company...they cant even fix the lag issues in the region where the world boss is for the week but they can deal with a The Chronoboon Displacer changing what TBC was back then....SMDH. I wish when someone says they are going to put out a Classic game, the mean it. Changing/Altering from its original state makes it nonclassic....
So, what's the cool down I wonder? Can you use it in a raid, say when a wipe is happening? That would be amazing, lol.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't let this be an April Fool's troll post.I can't get anyone to log in and play because every response is always "sorry, raid buffed." A much needed adjustment in game - thank you SOOO much, Blizzard.
March has 31 days Blizz
This is a MAJOR QoL improvement for raiders. You can do the buff tour at a time when it suits you actaully play your character after that too.
this change should have been implemented one year ago. As a warrior, playing with world buffs is a lot of fun, but not being able to play the game at all in order to save world buffs the whole week is what has always been annoying me.
Good change if you play in a WB mandatory guild and hate it. For others this will increase the chance that WBs will be mandated by the leadership, making their game worse. Overall this is a very incompetent change, just like with the BC drums. WBs should be removed upon entering any instance. That's the only sane solution.
So people snapshot rend and still gather the rest later and log out, so they can start with 60 minutes rend every Raid. Overall good change, but unless it affects all Wordlbuffs the same, people will still raidlog cause of buffs, especially alliance will do it.
More retail than retail. Guess it doesn't matter now since the one chance to play legacy WoW a second time is gone anyway.
The only change to raiding I can think of here is that guilds could choose to wait until later in the raid to actually pop their buffs, even if they can't store them again for an hour. For example, waiting until the first set of trash is dead, or even waiting until they are on a more difficult boss that world buffs turn into a curbstomp such as Saph. I could even see guilds rethinking the order that they clear the 4 wings in, since I know many go straight to Patchwerk currently to kill him with buffs.
I truly love this change and honestly the sooner it's released, along with removal of the twice damned spell batching, the better. While I personally think this should have been implemented way sooner, I also understand Blizzard troubles with introducing any radical change to the quite toxic #nochange community. This way we could all experience Classic in state that was similar enough to Vanilla, while now the time to improve the Classic Era servers is here :)
Not the worst route they could have taken. I'm interested to see how this goes. Appreciate how it's a change that doesn't really change anything though, it feels like a good compromise between the two crowds.
thats gonna make peopke not wanna play
good change quality of life change keep it up! :)
Sounds good to me, obviously not "NO CHANGES !1!11!" but being locked out of your main because world buffs is obviously not intented or fun gameplay.
