If you want an authentic feel keep Paladin seals as they were. Don't completely change something while keeping an issue as it is.All I see is double standards.
I feel they should make drums usable by all players and not just leatherworkers, this will make them more valuable to sell
Yes, I think we got "why" you're doing this, Blizzard dev. We are telling you it's stupid.
Ok everyone, stack on Square for DRUMS!
In other words nothing is being done to dissuade 25/25 LWs in all strong sunwell raids. Good to know
"an authentic experience"With paid boosts. And shared seals. And potentially a "deluxe edition" mount. That's some very cherry-picked authenticity on the part of you, Blizzard. If nothing else, can you please at least remove the leatherworking requirement so I can have two professions? It'll be a good source of income for leatherworkers and I could actually pick up something nice like engineering.
The goal of changing the drums is to make sure that Leatherworking isn't a mandatory profession during raiding. It's not to "recapture the feel of original BC", it's so that players don't have to level a profession they didn't want in the first place.Remove the leatherworker requirement and voila!I'd be open to adding an exhaustion debuff or having it target the whole raid even, but right now the changes do not alter how leatherworking will be mandatory to many classes.
I played TBC and sure, I didnt play in a super compatative guild, but we surely didnt use drums no near the way it now will be used in classic TBC. Im very negative about thair decision on this subjekt.
At this point I look at Blizzard as if they are bunch of apes trying to build a PC.Like, what and why in the hell are they doing? You have a very clear problem on your hands with these stupid drums:a) it forces people to lvl leatherworkingb) it's an OP item that's going to be exploited to death even more so than the WBs in Classic So all you have to do is...well, I don't know...make it so that people wouldn't be forced to lvl leatherworking and nerf the drums at least slightly so they couldn't be spammed to hell during encounters? But hey, that's just my wild guess, what do I know? So I have only a few questions at the moment: WHAT IN THE BLOODY HELL ARE YOU DOING? What exactly are you trying to achieve by ADDING EVEN MORE DRUMS? WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO SOLVE FOR ****'s SAKE?Even the freaking community has already FOUND A SOLUTION FOR YOU!Christ, who in the hell is responsible for TBCC? Who are these people? Are they even people?
All the people complaining here will complain later that raids are too easy, when everyone gets the drum buff.Think about classic: only naxx where rly challenging, because ppl got wbuffs and all the consumes, while raids where not balanced around it.Drums are like that. if you pick them up right from the start it´ll be ez as %^&* and if you change it for sunwell (where most professions can be replaced by LW easily), you get a fine raid exp in all contents. so making tryhard ppl stack for the buffs makes it a little more challenging, which is fine.
@blizzard and their blue post about drumsMy concern is that you guys make problems while the beta is only out for 3 days right now.Why not let it rest for now and look at the bigger picture of the game than only these profession and drums concern.Sorry to say, but it is too early to make changes right now, while the beta is only 3 days old. Also someone in a first post mentions that blizzard DOES see problems. Problems are there to be solved. problem->solved. The case in reality and in practise is that these problems are not solved and the issue still remains. So why change something ?You want an authentic way, keep it the authentic way, and do not change anything. Also , again, you can not come with a big blue post right now where you say things "in ahead"...the beta is *!@#ing 3 days old. The original makers of the burning crusade and vanilla, probably think about this issue for months. And you try to solve something that they have think about for months...in 3 days? Are you for real?Yours faithfully,Dragonstefan
This has to be some kind of scheme to try and make people go back to retail. They’re acting like they’re fixing the problem when in reality they’re making it worse.Blizzard, even IF drums aren’t necessary pre-Sunwell, you’re still forcing everyone to go Leatherworking for Sunwell. This doesn’t fix the ******* problem at all, you’re just hypothetically delaying it.
Just make it raid wide and done, you still need 5 LW so the profession still desirable, but whitout force your entire freaking raid to have it.Blizzard is one of the most incompetent companies in the world jesus christ...
While I don't agree with Blizzards reasoning here due to the very clear double standards, there is no reason they have to justify not changing this either. If drums is nerfed, then you would just feel the need to go to the next best profession - Whatever the "Best professions" are, you will "feel" compelled to go it. Stop pretending you are a top speed clear guild and play how you want to.Should Blizz have removed world buffs because people didn't use it this way "back in the day"? Hell no... I don't like them, but without them then 95% of the guilds who cleared the Classic content would not have. Was it cleared without, yes and will people clear the content in TBC without drums, ABSOLUTELY.
there is a easy solution to this, Make drums not require LW to use but only to make.
This is important because I don't think people complaining know that there will NOT BE A NERF. Any change will end up being either an on parallel shift or a buff. Remember what was stated, and I'll quote...
Raid wide, no LW requirement, tinnitus, delete drums all together, all would be a better solution than this. But Blizzard has their head stuck so far up their arse they refuse to listen to the people actually playing the game. Just watch as they'll leave leeway in the game too, for that "authentic experience" of taurens hitting you through a pillar while you run around humming Benny Hill.
Just give them a debuff like hero/lust and effects the entire raid or make them usable by non leather workers. They are your choices, pick one, how hard is it really Blizzard.
