Nice, I hope we fully get trade chat back from the advertisers some day. They're the top scum of Azeroth now that multiboxers are mostly taken care of.Personally I'm in favor of banning all forms of selling carries. You should have to actually play the game to get better and have friends to group with instead of just buying them with money.
This guy is a piece of work. What a whiner! In my opinion, most of this guy's characters should be banned. Any toons that are used solely for the purpose of delivering gold in advertised services by a player should also be banned. He clearly says he "needs" more than 50 characters to accomplish this hustle of his. So basically about 80-90% of his characters were made solely to engage in the advertised services. Would you honestly believe that he's never used these other characters also to advertise at some point in time? I know people who run with these communities and get paid in gold, etc. Difference with them is they are playing characters they play consistently across all content. Also, there is no freakin way I believe anybody who says they "regularly" check on terms of service. And he's sittin there whining like "oh, other GM's aren't tyrants like these guys" blah, blah, blah. Some keyboard warrior just got his feelings hurt cause daddy took away his console.I would use a baseball analogy here. It's similar to the steroids situation. Neither event impacts my life at all and most of the time we just accept this as reality cause people wanna watch baseball, get boosts, etc. But you could at least have the decency to speak truthfully and not try and blow smoke up my ass about how you "always follow the rules" and you're just an innocent little frickin butterfly. You do you, but as a casual observer I will always side with Blizzard because the truth is you aren't good for the game!
this is great. i signed up for the "guide" system, and was hella saddened that new (baby) accounts with the "newcomer" murloc tag were being used to spam for boost sales and such.
Yeah, this situation is messed up. I despise all the boost sales glutting up Group Finder and Trade Chat, but this definitely seems like poorly trained CS staff being incompetent.
Boggles the mind that people are falling all over themselves to pretend that creating an entire extra subscription to push ads is some kind of unalienable right they simply cannot live without. You have 50 f----- character slots on your "real" account and you can't use even one of them as an AH alt? Bulls---. You're putting it on another account because you KNOW it will be skirting the rules and subject to silences and bans you don't want touching your good account. It is obvious to everyone that these are dummy scapegoat accounts. OF COURSE Blizzard is interested in banning people for premeditated ban evasion.
first they came for the spammers...good
im not a goblin but have researched being one. I can say, this is not fair. He should have had the GM and manager state the rule and lift the silence. or Keep the silence but not the ban. At least warn for a first time offense then explain why!. Not ban him then explain why. And he cant even appeal because opening a ticket again is against the TOS? that makes no sense. He felt he wasn't justified, and he finally was able to bring proof to his case which he could show to them and they could change the ruling. But they don't even want to hear it. After only 4 messages! 2 from each side practically! That is not enough research. And 30 min they did not do the research. The GM probably just waited for his manager for 30 min and the manager just said yea ban him without looking. Trust me, i Know. Im an HR rep in my company and it can take hours for someone to get back to you with an actual answer or general response. They couldve least taken a day or 2.I think the ban should be overruled. The person is now aware, and so is the community because of wowhead and this post but the terms arent updated still. At least let a person off with a verbal warning. You cant just fire someone without it being stated in the rules to associates/customers. Thats wrongful termination.Im not disputing the rule. Im just disputing how the situation went down without having the rule updated and given to the community first. And he got banned for not knowing the new rule which wasn't up on the TOS at the time.
Oh, boo hoo. I'm butthurt cause I lost fake money in a game. I hear a tiny violin playing a sad song somewhere.
Am I the A-hole for not even feeling remotely sorry for these people? I mean, 200+ mil, yikes, but c'mon the advertising has seriously gotten out of control.
Perfect, ! Thanks Blizzard ! Even better with the 100M loser. :3They are ruinning game experience, in arena against overgeared teams at low cr (215ilvl from 1k2 to 2k 90% matches, yeah yeah.. *facepalm*. 2k is normal but 1k2+.. COME ON), dungeons and raid with overgeared people unable to play properly or knowing basic tacts, etc..Anyway, Great Job ! They deserve it and they deserve to lose their golds for ruinning player's experience for YEARS.
Amazing keep it going Blizzard
And nothing of value was lost.
