We're always looking for ways to improve Heroes of the Storm, and this year we've been hard at work on a number of changes designed to improve gameplay at all skill levels. We showed these changes to professional players and key community members earlier this year, and now we're opening them up to the public through an extended testing period on the PTR, beginning on November 20. Let us know what you think!
We are slightly increasing the in-game field of view to help improve team fight clarity and overall visibility.
In order to properly balance Stealth for both casual and high-end play, we're making it easier to spot stealthed Heroes. This is accompanied by buffs to the Stealth Heroes.
To better showcase individual skill in lane matchups, we're exploring ways to make the laning phase more meaningful without increasing overall game length.
To create more impactful choices about how, when, and which Mercenary Camps to capture, we are making changes to various Mercenaries.
It's about to get easier than ever to coordinate plays with your allies, because we're integrating Blizzard Voice directly into the Heroes of the Storm client! Voice chat in Heroes will be available in the months to come.
We're further increasing the accuracy of our matchmaking system by taking your individual performance and contributions into account after each match, rather than relying solely on victory or defeat.
More details coming soon!
I love HOTS, and these new Heroes and UI changes look awesome, the game just keeps getting better, hope they keep delivering Heroes!
these sound like a good addition
I love that the developers were able to keep her dragon pretty sizable while still making sense in the HoS universe.
Dark Queen Alextsrasza look like Malificent - super cool! And camera changes are very good. I like changes to stealth, it is easier now to detect those pesky stealthers when they decide to dive on the backline.
love alexstrazas costumes and dragon forms!
Her head looks so tiny compared to the rest of her body.
"It is good to see you again, Alexstrasza. I have been busy.. in my absence."I really hope Deathwing will join her soon. :)
“Let the Aspects consume you!”
Damn! Alexstraza is looking fine! I may need to pick her up when she's released.
The stealth changes seemed like a selective nerf to certain characters, but of course they thought of that and buffed all the affected characters! Hopefully the changes make up for the nerf.
Mwaahahaha, I've been waiting for the Hanzo release. I knew he was coming, I just didn't know when. Now my alt-BNet account named "Hanzo" can main him in TWO games! MWAAHAHAHAA
The stealth change is awesome and YES to Hanzo <3
I've still never really played HotS. I played two games during beta, and one more when it launched. Every year around Blizzcon I get excited to play but I just never end up doing it. I've already spent so much time getting to know the heroes in Dota 2 and there are so many heroes in HotS now I wouldn't know where to start. I'd love to play some day though, I love the idea of mashing up all of Blizzard's worlds.
Some of the changes and reworks considerably lower the barrier to entry, but I still cannot find the time to play HotS despite being a great game as it is. My concern with MOBAs in general is the constant attention it needs (30-45 mins) while playing , as opposed to world questing in WoW or playing a quick game in Overwatch..
Both heroes looking good... now I cant wait for the troll picks Hanzo in hots
Alexstrasza looks amazing, but really looking forward to trying Hanzo too...
With the removal of Ammo for buildings, I think Sylvanas will be one of the strongest Heroes in next patch! I can't wait :D
The cinematic was great as always, not too sure if I like Alexstrasza's voice in it though. Love the new look that they gave her, looks much better and more dragon-queen like than the one in WoW, hopefully whenever they update her model in WoW, they'll draw inspiration from the one here. I'm not gonna say anything about Hanzo as I don't particularly care or like the character in either game.
