PLEASE remove reforging or make it's price fixed. its absurd that reforging price doubles up every time you reforge a piece of azerite gear. it doesnt affect some classes that dont really have to reforge, but really punishes other classes. assassination rogue just to bring up an example, uses different traits depending if its raid single target, raid with 3/4 adds that are up for more or less 30% of the fight, traits for when there are large groups of adds in raid, traits for mythic plus dungeons on tyrannical, traits for mythic plus on fortified.... it's just not viable to have to reforge if you play a lot, since you end up having a reforge price of thousands of gold. one week i went up to 80k, then gave up. its just stupid, seriously stupid. it also affects playing different specs. for instance a mage might play arcane in some ST raid bosses, and fire on progress, or frost, then frost again for mythic plus dungeons.... come on blizzard... let us enjoy the game. what about a player that plays all four druid specializations? i mean, i think you should remove the price, but if you dont want to, just make it a fixed an affordable price. maybe 200 gold, maybe 1k. whatever. but make it affordable. this makes me sad, way more than class unbalance..
I don't know about class identity vs spec identity. If the classes are more unique but the specs are only minor variations then it limits the amount of options you have. I think they should do what SWTOR did. Make you choose one spec, but give that spec the option to switch between different roles. For example go back to 3 specs with for druid, feral is tank or mele DPS, Restoration is heal or ranged dps, and Balance is Tank or ranged DPS. Give them a big tanky moonkin form or something. Restoration could have a tank form instead of DPS as well actually, an ancient of war form.
It's interesting to see what was not talked about rather than what was talked about.Like how there were not a single word about Island Expeditions in a 29:45 long video. Seeing how world bosses, mythic dungeons, pvp, raids, warfronts and pretty much all other content came up. Perhaps they forgotten they existed or are not really sure where to go with them. I certainly prefer them compared to the legions invasion points. But there's a lack of incentive once you hit 120 and capped your HoA.Also, unfortunately not a single word about the rather bleak profession system we are struggling with at the moment. A rather large let down compared to the immersive professions we had back in legion. Kind of feels like we're largely feels like we're back at WoD in terms of professions.
RemovedHow many hundreds of threads with hundreds of pages of people complaining about pruning has there been? They've ignored feedback for more years than I've played the game. Not a lick will be done to address any of this.
they keep saying they hear what we say about homogenization and dulling down the specs as well as removing things from certain specs but then they dont do anything about it...here's to hoping the next xpac will un-screw the specs and bring back the enjoyment! pretty sure bfa is a lost cause by now. :/
I’ll believe any significant class changes when I actually see them. I’ve heard this song and dance before.
Having more than 3~4 totems all cooldown based would be nice
Is this "Blizzard finally listening to the fans" or "Blizzard desperately rewinding everything about the game to make it more like it was when Dev X thought it great?"Got a feeling it's the latter. And selling it as the former so people don't notice it.
Ion needs to go. His so-called philosophies pushed WoW downhill from the peak that was Legion, the best content in the game since mid MoP, into yet another WoD-esque disappointment. The Heart of Azeroth is a bust! It's an irrelevant item forced into relevancy, that's been band-aided poorly with even more unimpactful design choices, and has had a complete and utter backseat in the storyline until nearly a year after the expansion released.People aren't going to care about this neckpiece when it provides next to no class customization or class fantasy. It's a boring item level sink; a dry datapoint for a dry item with a dry backstory. Ion expects us all to applaud his listening skills and how they've improved the impact of our neck slots. What will happen next patch is people putting in the Essences that give them the biggest DPS boost, and then moving on and forgetting about their neck slot again. Wow, how impactful! (Are we really supposed to be hyped about socketing in essences that we can't see, into an item that we can't see, which has no personal meaning to the character in the first place? Give me a break.)And don't get me started on PvP. Zero pvp gear vendors, horrendous upgrade token system, and a completely undermined reward system for elite gear. Seriously, why would I care about Elite appearances anymore when a fresh 120 can just farm some random mobs in a warfront for the exact same Tmog? Elite gear is a joke now!On to the elephant in the room that no one seems to want to talk about: Tier gear is still gone from the game! Unique class sets are replaced with mediocre, copied and pasted armor sets that blanket an entire armor type and offer no special bonuses for wearing it. Azerite gear itself remains unintuitive, rigid, and straight up inferior to tier gear in every way. There are sooo many missed opportunities here for cool looking, imaginative, ocean and naga themed tier sets here! But, y'know, cost cutting measures by Blizzard/Activision (as if they needed more money.) Were it not for all of the fan service with an "underwater" zone, Mechagon, and the absolute bucket loads of mounts, the rest of the playerbase would be gone by now. They sure will be by the time Classic is out, though, that's for sure.
Back with ranged SV hunter with dots! Back with demo lock that builds energy to spend it in demon form! Back with drain soul baseline and soul swap for affli lock! (Give that shadowbolt back to demo and let "new demo" be a new separate spec instead) Back with long arm of the law, blessing of sacrifice and devotion aura for ret pally! :)
I really miss DK presences and summon ghoul in Blood and Frost. Death Knight is one class not three separate classes like it is now.
"And participating in multiple activities makes the game richer and more fun for everybody."Ok place trident and void stone and other bis as random drops at 2.2+ arena rating please. I really wanna se how fun is for everybody to farm those on arenas. I totally enjoy gettin forced to do raid/m+ to be competitive at pvp, even i don't want to, but hey, i bet is fun for everyone.
i miss when feral had spells specifically for stealth along with motw, lotp and mangle. that brief moment when the essence was going to give us back lotp i was happy
talking about Alter Time and Stance Dance coming back? As an Affliction i DEMAND Soul swap and Shadow Flame back then. There has never been a Spell for affliction that felt better than soul swap from a gameplay perspective. and im talking about the cataclysm one where u copied the dots and not took them from one to put them on another like in legion. and i want it for pve, not just pvp like in legion
Learning from classic ...wow. I did not expect that. I was moping about classic from the moment, they announced it, since I played it when it was live and yadda yadda... I can't express right now how happy I am that actually something good for main game came out of this. Feels good to be proven wrong :)
