Probably planning ahead for Wrath Classic? Idk.

When they first added achieves there was a lot of bellyaching about people not retroactively getting some of them that they for obvious reasons had not been tracking to that point. Even if they don't make these available in the UI, it'll make the transition to when they do add them (I forget was it wotlk?) easier and more accurate. But tbh, I wouldn't mind if they implemented them early with tbc. I'm fine with some quality of life changes so long as the content itself and how we progress through it and interact with it is mostly the same.
At least ppl that bought the boost will be easily identified :D
Well having a transport to the dungeon qhen you queue up is a very nice quality of life feature is good to have no matter what version of the game rather retail or classic era.
I love the achievements. I hope they add this in both TBC and Vanilla classic.
Would be great.
Better not be for Classic Vanilla. Achievements, while seemingly nice, end up gearing people towards completing meaningless tasks rather than fun gameplay. I wasted so much time back in WOTLK when I could've been having fun in the game.
I wouldn't mind this but I want it to be linked to retails in some way. I'd love to get some rewards by doing stuff on classic. Like lets say being able to transmog Corrupted Ashbringer maybe by getting it on classic?
Probably is just achievement tracking so the servers store the data of what players do in Classic and TBC so once Classic WOTLK launch they can grant retroactive achievements with perfect information instead of making deductions based on quest completed and items in character banks. Remember those achievements were added with patch 3.0, WOTLK, but there were some achievements added retroactively to Classic and TBC content but Blizzard couldn't grant the completion of those achievements because the servers didn't have data of what players did before patch 3.0. Now we are in 2020 and so they know those retroactive achievements will exist so it makes sense to be prepared and track all that data. In fact, they should have included that achievement tracking in Classic since the first day but probably they weren't sure if Classic will be a success back them so it makes sense to not waste time in preparation for WOTLK, but now that we will have TBC it seems obvious WOTLK is inevitable.
