It looks that some people had 10-15 years old computers (possibly because they've only been playing the original Diablo 2) and now want to play Diablo 2 Ressurected, but my guess is they can only play it in the 'legacy' mode with the old graphics.Blizzard had an official "minimum system requirements" and by the looks of it now people are complaining that they can't play the game if they're below the minimum specs. This is pretty strange
I don't know how they did this remaster but the wc3 remaster overwrote the original WC3 client and you couldn't use it any longer. If that did that with this remaster then they borked working D2 clients for the sake of their remake. That ain't cool.
normally I wouldn't mind, for example the Age of Empires IV beta straight up tells you that you don't have AVX and you can't launch the game but here the beta worked fine so I bought the game only to find out, a few weeks later, that I actually can't run the game, get crash to desktop without any error message...
Glad they're working on it. Thanks for keeping us posted! 😃
"users with very old computer processors"Ooof, shade thrown.
nobody reads the articles. avx was never listed as a requirementpeople who FAR SURPASSED the minimum system requirements that WERE listed (cpu speed, memory, gpu) still couldn't play. let me repeat that. a player with a 4ghz i7 octa-core made in 2011 with 48gb of ram and running 2 gtx titan z's COULD NOT RUN THE GAME. the tiny little avx instruction set WAS NOT NEEDED to successfully run the game during beta. WAS NEVER LISTED as a requirement. but was set as "required" days before launch. that's a blizz *!@# up if i ever saw one. gamers with supercomputers from 10 years ago are NOT to blame for this one.
wow some "smart" guys called my pc a potato, and i need to explain the issue with d2r. first of all avx is not a super duper tech that makes your game fly up in the sky. the game dont lose anything when avx supported or not, especially with an online game. secondly they did not specify the avx requirement, yes they wrote "Intel® Core i3-3250" but since my "overclocked and super cooled i7 960 running at 4.2ghz with 8 cores" is far more better than a crap i3, i honestly didnt give damn about that requirement. third, i have a 2080ti, 24gb ram, ssd raid drives and my pc is a beast, still running all recent games at ultra gfx. i still play wow ultra settings with 120fps. it certainly is not a potato, and its performance probably is much better than those "smart" guys who dont know crap but can comment. "go buy a new one it is 400 dollars blah blah" your brains are so limited you cannot even understand that it is not an issue of buying. it is an issue of being ripped by blizzard one more time..fourth, a month ago at beta testing d2r was running perfectly fine on my pc, there was no avx requirement. i m saying again avx support is never mentioned, and still not being mentioned see for yourself: "https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/284798". so naturally a person who played beta without any issues decides to buy the game and boom, 40dollars in my ***. my pc can run 16 different d2r games simultaneously without having a single fps drop but yet it is considered trash. and knowing that and seeing the "they can go buy themselves some better equipment lmao bla bla" triggers me, seriously. maybe i dont have avx support but at least i m not as ignorant as you guys. and i m pretty sure that my fps is much better than some smart ppl who comment up there, you can all eat my pretty cakes.. ppl who dont have avx doesnt mean they run pentium4 or playing games with wooden pc's, go learn stuff, you have burned your brain playing games..
@Archimtiros you have no idea what you are saying. We are not playing on potatoes, and no one cares about the stupid avx that someone missclick past Beta phase. There is 5k+ post you should read, too bored to explain to you. Truth of the matter is that the older Blizzard gets, the more it's going to fall behind on customer satisfaction, and while most things are backwards compatible ,eventually posting your shirtless 800 days no legs feast and your promotion, you will end up missing out on your loyal customers which may prove crucial, regardless of how high you think you are, talking about vitriol on customers probably older than you who just want to play the product they paid for and rocked on their pcs at highest settings 2 weeks ago in beta.
