Disapointed to lose multi, as I found it let me generalize for bearcat armor on my druid. Curious what statistics they were considering that caused them to head down this path?I wonder if we will see itemization fall back to a previous model, or as has been the pattern, be something novel.
I love the charts idea, but I can see how alts could skew stats. Are you filtering on level 100's, profiles updated within a certain patch, or anything like that?
And just have to add my .02 cent in on the multistrike change. It is not a big deal at all really. The stat was only in for one expansion. To all the people who think that xyz class will be bad because no more multistrike, remember that the reason your class favors the stat it does is by design. The classes will all be retuned.
The Battle.net Profiles are naturally deleted over time if users do not update them, so there should only be fresh data. The charts will update once every week automatically, similar to the "Popular Pages" on the front page.As for account-wide - it should be slightly less-skewed than Battle.net because this only counts characters you care about that are uploaded to Wowhead. So while Battle.net may show that 50 characters have an achievement, but you only really track 2 of them, we'll add those 2 to our tally, not the 50. Ideally Blizzard will add something to their API letting us track this better, but their API doesn't receive a ton of updates.
I like the addition of the charts and using the profiler. Thanks!
Remove Versatility while at it... :I
Since they are looking at revamping some of the classes I think they should add another spec for shamans. Imagine a Voodoo Shaman. It would be like an Enhancement/Elemental Shaman, but its totems would lower your primary stats or attack power or even lower the attackers dps or healing by a certain percentage. Instead of a lightning shield they would have a Leech shield that gives them some of the attackers vitality as they attacked (The orb that rotates around them would be black). Their totems would ooze with dark energy similar to the way a shadow priest looks. They could have a move called Voodoo Doll were they pick a target and stab themselves, but instead of them dying the creature or player they selected would instantly die if they had lower life than the shaman or the damage amount done would be in the same amount as the shaman's life (like a monk's Touch of Death). I would prefer them as melee dps, but I could also see them as a caster. They could summon either Dark Elementals or Fel Elementals. They would have some sick Transmog gear or even heirlooms! Vote Voodoo Shaman!
They said the multistrike stat is gone. They never said anything about Elemental shamans losing the ability to fire multiple spells with a single cast. More than likely they will be bringing back the old Elemental mastery. At the very least they would make it a talent. Shamans have nothing to worry about.
The two great things about the current crafted item upgrades was you did not need to re-enchant an items after you upgraded it, and you could upgrade a soulbound items without being the crafter. If instead in legion you have to "DE" the item to get a foo used to craft the higher level items I do not think either of these things would apply :(
How many profiles is Wowhead tracking for the charts? Is there a place to see the number of profiles? Also, when the charts are displayed, is it possible to provide links to the specific database page?
I'm hoping adventure mode is phased area/zone that you get to party with with companion and named/famous npcs doing lore/treasure/historic quest. Maybe linking proving grounds/archaeology/battlegrounds/artifacts together.
I do not understand trolls improve or not? circulated troll dk I think not.
i was excited about the new stats in Draenor; they seemed like pure fun and i was really excited about them. It balanced out the Ability Prune by adding if not a new dynamic, something to get excited about. it also made it a touch more realistic, in a good way - flinging around spells and weapons in a cluster of enemies ought to hit more than one of them, right? It being removed makes the game...have a little less flavour. which makes me a mixture of sad and upset. i only ever had one item with a laughable amount of leech on it, but a) it was friggin awesome, especially in old content where 2% leech is a 50k heal on myself. and b) it added flavour! not just another plate item that replaces my last one that makes me hit a smidge harder, take a fraction less damage, and is basically a passive. and not just a passive, an invisible passive. a passive that i see, like the little green healing numbers on every hit, is awesome!multistrike, which was far more common, was awesome! the little perks like indestructible and stuff were at the very least financially helpful. with at least 8 wipes required in Current LFR Archimonde, it adds up.So I'm totally against removing them. keep them hard to come by, i suppose, but dont remove them.Look at successful games like League of Legends; they have like 5 abilities (offset by the need for strict teamwork, positioning, etc) but they have hundreds of items with dozens of little abilities and passives like leech and multistrike, and thats what makes it cool! pure fun. Adding them in the first place was one of the things they did totally right in WoD.Edit: Versatility was basically just a buff stat; which is totally redundant. that one can go. More leech!make mastery matter again!Edit #2: another option would be to remove it as a stat and make it a baseline % for certain specs.
