Hm, I wonder how much easier we can make this game. The few saving graces of this dual spec nonsense are all the restrictions. Not that I'm not pleased about dual spec - even though I think PvP is the devil, I will probably make a PvP spec, and I'm glad this will encourage healing and tanking again. But. I still don't like the concept of respeccing in general. But that's just my Dungeons-and-Dragons mode of 'pick what you want to be wisely' and my concept of the Hero's Journey being a path and a quest that you can't just change your mind about - my desire for actual RPG elements to come back into this MMORPG.Or maybe it's just QQ. You tell me, but I'd prefer an epic journey to this ezmode WoW culture we have now.
I just hope they dont make this into another gold sink, yes its easy to make gold but still theres just too many of them already. give the causual people who play who dont like to grind dalies every single day the abbility to afford some nice things for once
"Two specs only."But, but the Druids, how will I choose D:
Love the idea of dual specs. I'm tired of trying to PvP in a PvE spec and vice versa because I don't want to respec every time I want to do one or the other. Regarding people rolling on dps and healing/tanking gear the way that I see it is if you come in as a healer/tank you are rolling on said gear only. If you dps the then you roll on dps gear. Its not fair for the non hybrid classes to roll on dps gear only while they roll on two different types. Assuming no one else wants it then its cool if you take it but don't get greedy.
I'm lazy, so I don't know if anyone mentioned this. This 'Dual Specing' thing doesn't benefit the Hybrids only; it benefits pure DPS classes as well.Example; Mage: You do insane DPS as Frost or Fire, but prefer Fire for raiding DPS, and Frost for AoE farming. Typical, right? Well, let's say you raid about..every even day (i.e. day 2, day 4, 6, 8, 10......) and then AoE farm every odd day (i.e. day 1, 3, 5, 7.......) It'll still be expensive as hell to respec between the two.It benefits everyone; it just benefits the hybrids more. Also, I read earlier about looting issues. This is easily solved; My guild uses this rule: Your main spec (i.e. what you play most of the time, i.e. tanking paladin having to heal a raid) gets your priority. Let me simplify that rule.People able to wear plate: Healer Paladin, DPS Warrior, Tank Warrior. Let's just say for gits and shiggles that's the healer paladin is normally a Retadin, and thus, his main spec is DPS; he'd be therefore eligible to roll on the gear over the Tank warrior. Understand? Now. Where's my tanking gear!
If only this was around when I played my fury warrior. It was annoying to respec to tank for a single raid then to switch back to fury for everything else.
Well, quite honestly, I was hoping they'd do it so that you can change Talent Specs on the go.In my opinion, it'd be better if it was that you could change your Talents, say, once an hour so that you can't grind then PvP then grind again. It'd be great for lower levels concerning Twinking (I'm a Semi-Twink), and it isn't really smart if the group lets fellas get gear for offspecs if there's someone who needs it for main spec.
