People $%^&ting on Echo for this but they forget that Limit didn't stream their council kill, lol. Limit also didn't stream the first time they went to the secret phase on n'zoth prog. Guilds do whatever they want, as long as they aren't cheating, not sure why people feel entitled that they have to stream everything.
Id put money that everyone that called Limit out when Method streamed but Limit didnt have changed sides XD. There is no morals to a fanmade world first race, just winning and $$$$$$$ so far Limit has both but Echo may get the win but not the $$$
Hate stuff like this. Limit did the same when first seeing the N’zoth mythic phase, which sucked for the viewers. Such a shame that we only have these two guilds in the race right now. Really hope Method become a contender again by the end of this expansion.
2nd place kid
I'm cynical af, but seems strange that the group of players who commercialized public progression last expac is going dark when there's not as much money to be made due to covid format change.
To all the ppl crying about the 16 hour advantage. Last tier with Nzoth method didn't kill it in the 16 hour window, so until an na guild kills the last boss less than 16 hours before an eu/Asia guild then the supposed "16 hour advantage" is a moot point. However what is a valid point is the fact that in the 16 hours before eu can get into mythic they are able to and likely watching and taking note of various things to better kill the bosses, I have nothing against that, but what I do find hypocritical is not streaming the last boss so high in hp just because another guild would copy the strat and have higher gear tomorrow when limit seems to be further already based echo killing generals 8 hours after limit and I doubt echo has gotten as far as limit has in p2 to have that better strategy. Now I'm sure at least one person will come at me with limit apparently going dark on nzoths secret phase, and tbh that is a secret phase and also much farther into the boss then p2. And no council doesn't count and u should already know why. Now granted we can't know for sure of whether echo is progressing faster or not because they haven't told anyone their pull count nor their lowest % wipe and I think that is worse then not streaming the boss itself.
To be honest, the article and the video seem to have a weird take; I can understand the feeling towards echo being somewhat disingenuous for their counterparts (limit), it just kind of seems underhanded like they know all of the phases perfectly or some exploit they only want to use while the other group starts progressing on it. I get the Video's opinion that since there is a time difference where their counterparts are going to get 226-233 loot sooner than they will, due to when weekly reset happens, they believe that their strats and the increased damage done/decreased damage taken/ increased HP/ whatever else gear does will make them clear faster and that is a fair argument. The only issue I have w/ both is that during each of their streams its not like either group would be able to say like this is 100% the most optimal way to deal w/ every mechanic that will last from when the tier is released to when the tier ends and it's changing how their mechanics are handled w/ their team from pull to pull, and you can see that in both groups. This weekly reset time difference just seems to foster a really foster an unnecessary take to certain groups that feel like their at a disadvantage because they have to start later, and it just seems like this article is exacerbating it.I could understand this article being like emphasizing how close the competition is since their both at denathrius and its a race to the finish (or the some of us that only care what the secret phase is), but the author or Wowhead just seems to want to only take the narrative that Echo is not streaming their initial progression while their counterparts are. I don't have any issues w/ the article aside from the narrative it's outlining against Echo. I had initially watched some of trill's stream and went to wlogs to see who else was on denathrius and saw that Echo didn't have the competition mode enabled and went to Wowhead to see how the race was going between people and was like "wow they don't have competition mode and didn't stream, what a weird thing to do". After reading this article it's just kind of like "Why u do this to yourself sir", I can't see anyone enjoying that one group feels at a disadvantage instead of watching, the hopefully, close competition.
Pretty big impact on the reputation of the Guild since they have spent the whole raid seeing what world first guilds like Limit have done to kill a boss. I will certainly have second thoughts in my support and viewing of ECHO in the future. Spend hours and hours watching these guilds and giving money. Only to be disrespected at the end. Not cool
This is a weak move on echos part, you lure in a bunch of people with RWF, get them to sub to you, donate, buy merch. And when things get a little tough you shut down the stream. Seems like a classic bait n switch to me. This is borderline fraud. I personally will be boycotting anything echo related.
Feel echo needs every advantage to beat the powerhouse of limit.
Why is everyone upset? Didn't limit do the exact same thing?
