Fistweaving (and Gladiator Stance) will not be joining us in Legion.

We love the fantasy that each of those “subspecs” promise, but leaving them as subspecs has proven to be problematic, making us unable to properly deliver on their fantasy. Trying to support two different playstyles within one spec restricts how much we can focus and bring out the strengths of either of them. We still love both of their concepts, however, and will look for opportunities to bring them back in the future.

Fistweaving in particular ended up being used mostly as a mana management tool to support Serpent Stance, instead of a damage/heal hybrid, which didn’t support its fantasy well. While we recognize that the initial goal for Mistweaver Monk -- combining a ranged healer with a melee healing style -- attracted some people to the class, quite a few things have changed since then. Most importantly, there’s been a huge shift away from smart heals in Warlords, which is continuing in Legion.

Mistweaver gameplay for most players was centered around their ranged healing spells, and our focus for the spec in 7.0 consists of reinforcing their unique array of healing tools and adding talents and artifact powers that support this style.

Through Monday, November 16, Pet Battle experience gains are increased by +200%. It’s time to team up your mighty minions and test them on the field of battle!

Before you charge forth with your lower-level charges, make sure to pick up the quest The Very Best, lest you miss the chance to wrest an Ultimate Battle-Training Stone into your chest. All you need do is queue up for PvP Pet Battles with a team of three level-25 pets and obtain five wins before the event ends.

You can use our Battle Pet Database to browse and search all available pets.

This weekend bonus event will help your pets gain extra experience while doing wild pet and trainer battles. You can level pets quickly to 25 by having a low-level pet get carried during Draenor Tamer battles--it will take one turn and two max-level pets will complete the encounter. Use the Safari Hat and Pet Treat for additional experience boosts.

Heart of the Mantid Swarm: Reference to the expansion pack Heart of the Swarm.

And frankly, Fistweaving wss a bad idea that was better off getting removed.

Having to stance dance through the whole thing was clunky, unresponsive, and not fun. Also, the new mastery is Much better. Hated those useless health balls thst nearly noone actually moved into.

But, this is just my opinion after all. We each have our own pros and cons after all. :)Comment by KaminekoTheir problem with fistweaving was balancing both stances. Firstly, gladiator stance was an upgrade to battle stance. It made it an actual decent dps setup. If they can't work on both tanking and dps on one spec, then I hope they plan on getting rid of battle stance too. Otherwise why get rid of Gladiator.

And fistweaving, although I didn't use it on a large scale, was still a great idea. It made soloing easier and it was just a cool concept. I truly hope they bring back fistweaving in some way. A melee healer that heals by doing damage was a huge thing in my eyes. Now, they decide to make MW a pure healer. With no chi as well. So basically lets just have all healing classes use strict mana then, right?Comment by moosecat11They did mention they were going to make all healers more viable for leveling. BUT I am sad to lose fistweaving (it was good in MoP...not so much WoD :p). Then they introduced the fourth spec, guardian, to balance and give the class more flavor and all that fun stuff. Now we're presented with the same problem, and I can reflect back on other sub specs like shockadin or 2h shaman. So I'm not saying, but I'm just saying, maybe new specs are in the works :3
