I did that, was new server opened, just last night late, guess what is now happening? sitting in 2h queue. Do you want to create new character each day and start over just to be able to log in. Boggles my mind how white knight you can play!

Ion can present well reasoned arguments all he wants. The screaming masses refuse to think about the future.
My friends and I were going to play on whitemane, but after the first warning post, we decided we would switch. We ended up deciding on Bigglesworth and so far its been a good decision.
Thanks ghostcrawler
15 years later, the same old mistakes.
Both German PvP servers were Full before launch and they added an additional one several hours after launch instead of giving us a 3rd before launch. In that case it is definetely their fault.I switched from the first PvP server to the 2nd one opened because I wanted to avoid queues but I still get 10k queues.I refues to switch an additional time only because Blizz @#$%ed up.
Can I be honest that I think some of you are (understandably) frustrated and not thinking too clearly right now?Launch was going to be a mess no matter what happened. Many, many many people want to come and try classic. But how many will stay? I'd say maybe 50% in 6 months, and I think that's generous. What happens in 6 months when 50-75% of your server is gone and it's a ghost town? What will you be asking Blizzard to do then? Free transfers? Server mergers? The more servers that get opened at launch, the more likely there will be empty servers in a few months. The people trying to play right now is nowhere near the amount that are in it for the long haul.
And if someone has your name on other servers? Or one guildie's name is taken on this server and yours is open but then the GM's wife... good luck!Blizzard wasn't thinking of entire guilds when they allowed name reservation, they were as always thinking about the player. Honestly, if you're not getting on a guild made from and of the people on that server, you're moving counter to how Classic worked, which is interacting with the people around you and starting a guild with them. If you're just porting in your guild, you're not who Blizzard was targeting by allowing name reservations.
The entitlement in these comments is real. Geez. Dont worry guys, in short order it will die down and you'll be complaining about how dead it is.
I agree with their decision to keep the number of realms low and concentrate players. Right now. It's new and extremely congested. But in the long run this approach will help prevent many of the problems the live game is currently grappling with. Hundreds of realms with barely discernible player pools.
Its almost as if y'all wanted Classic...LOL
Let's hope all the realm issues sort out, I guess its inevitable with a brand new game release. I have had to make characters on two new realms but I am sure it will all calm down in a few weeks or so.
Just tried classic server... Zero nostalgia. Zero wish to play it. You can't re-live your life.
They can say they warned us and all, but the fact of the matter is we started with 2 PvP servers before launch, we now have 14! Of witch most have a full status.I had no doubts that Launch would be rough, but effectively Septupling the amount of servers in a matter of 2-3 days and just expecting people to move to another realm, with no real information from Blizz i might add. And it can't be solved with a "whatever, you are only lvl20" comment. Most communities (like the Scandinavian) are several thousand people trying to figure out where to play together. You can't just expect some of them to just go somewhere else to play because Blizzard severely underestimated everything!
