What an awful gate keeping thing. I play the game for fun, not to be a number.

Since I play in guild and in 2 communities about M+, I don't need a Raider.IO Score.Partially Removed
Raider.IO is like nextgen gearscore
There's a very simple solution to all this RaiderIO trash. Make mythics tiered by iLvL, and make 'em LFG. The toxic players can still have their elitist custom groups, while the non-toxic folks can still enjoy progressing in the game w/out all the irritation of constantly being declined for a stupid arbitrary number that has no real world connection to someone's ability to play the game. Why it wasn't ever done this way in the first place, is beyond me. Blizz practically forced this toxicity on the player base by not allowing LFG for mythics. This stuff needs to die in a fire.
Yet another way would be to scale M+ differently. Make M+15 (or whatever that has the highest weekly chest) the low-hanging fruit (e.g. as easy as first couple bosses in normal nyalotha), so that players with less mechanical skills can still do it without too much frustration. Make it possible for a well geared player with good mechanical skills to carry the rest of the 4 players. But is that something we want? Probably not, as it will inflate ilvl too much and cause problems to other contents of the game...Yet another way would be to allow switching players in a M+ group (with a cost, e.g. instantly deplete the timer). This can help with the problem of players leaving the group mid-run, but can also be abused in many ways. Is there any way to prevent people from abusing it? I can't think of one...
Play as tank.
Its annoying also how now you can buy your IO with WOW Tokens
Rio is kinda missleading and show no xperince (except those who are streaming, but i doubt they care about its, since most of them not pug at all). Its only calculate your key lvl/time.Noone can tell what happens inside the dungeon. So it can be easily abused. Not saying everyone is abusing it, but there are many people with high scores, and die in the first avoidable mechanics.
To all people that say Blizzard should take down io, a score tracked by a third party, then by that logic they should also remove pvp ratings which has been in the game forever. It's only a matter of time before Blizzard implements their own version of io score so that people can track it without a third party. Score realistically means nothing if you actually have a group of good friends that want to run keys with you regardless of what you play.
"If you are insistent on using LFG, be prepared to be declined from groups if you are not a flavor of the month class. "^ This is why tying abilities used in combat to covenants is bad. (unless we can freely change them)
raider.io is a load of #$%^, completely ruins dungeons. regardless of your score still get declined for +0 lol . its like gearscore (ilvl) all over again only difference is you can buy your way through dungeons which makes the raider.io score meaningless. yet is somehow required to do anything
Not sure why this needs to be said, but if you don't care about IO or think its a bad system this post isn't really targeting you.
What the heck even is this article?IO is not toxicReroll to a better class, because you are going to get declined a lot otherwise.Stop using LFG, because you are getting declined a lot.Make your own group, because otherwise you are getting declined a lot.... what about that is not toxic? Especially considering, that a lot of people looking at IO are going "We want somebody with 2.5k+ raider.io for this +15 key", like what the hell? A succesful +15 gives you 150-160 points, with 12 dungeons that's 1800-1900 points. So you are expected to have cleared everything in time at 18 or higher, to do a +15?Also I like that "IO is your foot in the door", no it isn't. You can't get IO, if you don't have a foot in the door, because no LFG group giving something about IO will take you, if you don't have way higher IO than needed for the LFG content. And every LFG group that doesn't care about IO won't even look at it. And especially groups from your own fricking guild won't look at your IO, because they either know you enough to judge your skill, or take you on some throwaway keys to judge your skill afterwards. So honestly, the most important thing to take from this article is: Avoid IO at all cost.
