Aaw... Isn't paying for the 'actual' game enough? =( If I had the money for this, however, I'd be ecstatic. But why do we need to pay to get bonuses? I mean, getting rid of the ads shall be awesome, but the rest of the stuff (Save the avatar) we don't need to pay for. Come on WoWhead, this is community stuff... On a lighter note, those are really cool things you're offering for an upgrade. Especially getting rid of the bl**dy code box =P
sorry guys my donation goes to WWF.I can live with captcha.
Can anyone tell me by how much it increases the post character limit?
Okay maybe I'm missing something obvious hear but how do I log into wowinterface and the other with my new shiny account? Also it ups the character limit 45000 for those asking.
45,000 Characters? =ONow I really want Wowhead Premium...
Sweet. This gave me a(nother) reason to renew my ZAM.com premium membership. Great work, team!
Any chance to add images in posts (forums/comments) for premium members? My 2c on the premium subscription (developer POV)Working in the same "market" I perfectly understand (and approve) the payment option. The fee is very small, to be honest (we pay much more for electricity bills to use a PC every day). Overall it's a step in the right direction. I do not agree with people who worry about a possible "bad destiny" for non-paying members. Try to understand that running a free website requires a lot of money (infrastructure, developers, staff, ...) and any non-invasive and legal way to raise some $$$ should be warmly welcomed.I'm not subscribing -yet- because I think that "cosmetic only" changes aren't worth the payment. I do not care about ads or captcha. And I really do not feel the need to pay for a golden frame around my avatar :-). That said, I'd warmly welcome *useful* features that have never been added:Notify upon reply (forums/comments)I really miss this one. Wowhead is the only website I know/use that does not send you a mail when you get a response on forums/comments. Any blog, forum, whatever... does that. Either optional or not, in my opinion that's something that wowhead should offer.Personal mailbox - messaging systemWe got a lot of space to talk but we miss the ability to contact someone... personally. Sometimes you just need to keep in touch with a member without being forced to call him on the forums.Images in forums postsEven if limited in size/weight, you should considering that. Like notify upon reply and messaging system, almost every forum on the web offers that useful option.Talent builds in forum posts (and comments maybe)Instead of linking a build, why not "merging" it inside the forums message and let people immediately see it? Much better than opening windows here and there. Some threads require multiple builds analysis and that would be really awesome, I think. Make them smaller of course, but you can do it (they did on iPhone display after all).Filter comments by WoW client versionDate and rating are not enough, in my opinion. Just have a look at Naxxramas comments: both date/rating options refer to very old/old versions. We should be able to choose a "default" filter, such as "hide comments before 3.0" and such.Better comments ratingI've seen too many "rating wars". I often avoid leaving a comment in the fear of being just attacked, grayed-out, etc. I've read a *lot* of useful/intelligent comments downrated for the pure pleasure of doing that... as well as stupid content voted for the fun of it.Thanks for your attention, I hope you will consider these changes.
Firefox + AdBlockPlus = ad free roaming the entire net for free. Although the other stuff sounds nice...
Congrats on all you "ad blocking software #213"-guys. You're awesome. As for me, it's not so much about additional features such as ad-removal.After years of using a great site for free, it's good to be able to give something back.
