Tragic. I leveled two new characters under the new system and, while it's better than what we had before, it's still a braindead CHORE. I'd much rather level using this.
Wow, way to ruin the game's anniversary. They really make it feel as if they don't love their game anymore. None of my friends managed to join today as we'd all get that error message, and then I read about the XP nerf. How do they even come up with so many bad ideas and failures?
I can kinda understand nerfing it because essentially it was the ONLY thing people were doing for the entire period which could hurt other bg queues, dungeon queues, raid finder, world quests and more but it still hurts to see.I was really excited to be able to boost some alts again like I did last time but clearly that isn't going to happen from this at least.
Good! PvP is an end game activity, not for levelling.
The queue doesn't freaking work. :'(
People tend to complain with Blizzard because they patch up their unintended mistakes which players tend to call "fun". If fun only comes through breaking the game and exploiting mistakes then you're playing the wrong game.
WTF Blizzard are you doing?
Have Blizzard addressed the queuing situation at all?
As someone who levelled around 40 chars (but I was fine without event, levelled a lot with tw since timereaver wasn't dropping), basically last year questing was worse, tw dungeons were better, at least twice, not to mention more fun, even with dps queues, however they had a significant difference in exp: tbc > wotlk > cata\mop\wod, and then came the AV event, which literally destroyed timewalking.I think it was something like 1 level per dungeon at best with tw for bfa levels, talking about 2019 ofc, without the double exp buff which came in 2020, while with AV it was around a level in 20 mins of game just for being in there (full heirlooms and cheap potions ofc), plus a good bonus, I think like 75% of a level per loss and 1,5x level per win, also bonuses for objectives such as destroying towers, even if someone else in your team did it, and then also good exp for dailies.I think it was like 3 matches for 110-120 and horde tended to win more often and have longer queues, and I obviously tried to do quests in there meanwhile, efficiency.Like someone else said, levels under 60 (which didn't concern me since I only had 105 + left on 2nd account) gave terrible exp, it got better at higher level, so maybe this isn't even a nerf, they just didn't consider that the level 40 last year is not the same as level 40 this year, and maybe they don't even want to make it extra good exp again, in any case it's obviously a relative nerf.
Warning, warning - fun detected! :) A real shame that this event got nerfed. We had so much fun in last year's Korrak's Revenge, and at the end of an expansion, this would be a super way to get those last, lingering alts to lvl 50. I hope Activision Blizzard has a change of heart and boosts the XP back up when they see the engagement levels in the days to come. I was so disappointed when Comp Stomp got cancelled in Summer, I had no idea that Korrak's Revenge was coming back. But now that it is back, I wish they had brought it back in all its glorious OPness. :)
Great place to earn experience...if you were Horde lol.
the "event" is unplayable get a " join a group failed" error when trying to queue for it at level 27
Good. Why would you level THREE levels in a bg? Buy a boost if you're so inclined.
Seriously, is anyone actually suprised by this? Really? You didn't think after streamlining an greatly decreasing the leveling times that Blizzard wouldn't adjust this? What were you expecting, Blizz to leave exactly as it was last year and you blast to 50 in a matter of minutes? im so ^&*!ing sick of you people losing your goddamn minds over changes that literally have to happen because of a fundemental shift if the game. Obviously you dont like the squish or anyone of the QoL changes they made accordingly, so why not just quit the game if it's, what it seems like, ruined your entire life.
