The 3 and 4 set bonuses are cool, but the rest is disappointing to put it mildly:Some stuff I would've loved to be explored as bonuses:- movement speeds- gliders- portals- loot-a-rangs- secondary mini-hearthstone (for quest hubs while leveling)- Flightmaster whistle (especially since we get to choose expansions)- out-of-combat cooldown reduction (basically be able to have CDs for more mobs/packs more often)- aggro-taking dummy (inspired from the engineering one)- instant mounting (at least for ground mounts)There is so much potential for non-xp related bonuses and it seems they went with the most mundane ones. Moreover, the waiting for rested XP is the biggest wasted potential and bad implementation. Why are do we have to wait to stack rested XP (for up to two weeks!) to just level an alt?
Damn, I was hoping they'd swap heirlooms' usage to a Legacy Armour type of thing, where you get bonuses in legacy content like old raids and dungeons, mainly speed boosts and wide AoE taunts, ranged looting, etcetera. This is... decent for leveling, but not what I had hoped for.I guess I'd better use or sell the 35 Elixirs of Rapid Mind and use the Ancient Knowledge one I still have..
This looks like a great change, can't wait to try it out! :)
the damage burst tier is as good as useless imo it would be allot better to have a like 10% movement speed instead of it and then an aditional 15% for the 8 set
And there go the value of my Elixir of quick mind, thanks...
Heirloom changes are fine but the leveling changes are absolutely the worst thing to happen to WoW in quite a while, maybe ever. Might as well do away with levels entirely if they reduce the time to level so drastically.
These bonuses are absolutely terrible. You'd think they'd at least give movement speed or anything else that is remotely useful for leveling. I would argue that the rested exp bonuses are unneeded with how much they have sped up leveling. They have completely missed the mark IMO. With all of the effort that people have put into obtaining heirlooms you'd expect they would make them at least somewhat interesting. Personally I'm glad that I never bothered with collecting the majority of the heirlooms. With these lousy bonuses they aren't even remotely worth picking up.
That battlegrounds part wont make it out of beta.
Well that's a missed opportunity to do something interesting with these costly items. Work in progress indeed.
The reduced decay does not seem to be very good idea. It is extremely useless for a new character since no one starts out with rested exp. It is only useful if you create the character and then let it sit for a week or two in a city/inn. The other bonuses are fine, just the rested exp set bonus can be done better I think.
It's a good idea to transform the heirloom items into set bonuses.BUT the way it is right now is not fun at all apart from the BOOM on level gain. This could be fun, but hey I think I am expecting too much from Blizzard.
Wow! These are worthless!
