Veteran of the Shifting Sands! This questline took a lot of time, a lot of patience, and a lot of luck to complete... and I had a sneaking suspicion that it might be removed when the world changed under Cataclysm. Thanks to the achievement system, people had a renewed interest in running classic raids like Blackwing Lair, otherwise this would have been even more challenging. As it was, this was definitely an adventure... from grinding to neutral with the Brood of Nozdormu, defending Moonglade from Eranikus, competing for the one red shard per BWL raid, a 500 lb. chicken (and the only epic cooking recipe!), getting helplessly MC'ed by Dr. Weavil... this was truly an epic and unique questline, and although I didn't get the Black Qiraji mount out of it, I consider the achievement to be a badge of honor!
Insane in the Membrane has to be my proudest. Took me close to a year to finally get (pre nerf ... I am exalted with the DM elves as well) and I haven't changed titles since. Second to that one would probably be the Glory of the Icecrown Raider (10 player) It took us a while to do, but it was a lot of fun to do and it felt great to finally kill heroic Sindy and complete it. :)
Insane in the Membrane - what a grind!
Probably my greatest achievement is The Explorer, back before you could fly everywhere. I hope that doesn't make me sound too Get-Off-My-Lawn old man
The Loremaster before The Shattering patch 4.0.3. I know maybe that might be overstated but actually going throughout the world to complete these questlines I never thought of doing opened me up to so much...well, lore! Though I did only get to experience one faction's full side I'm glad I did because now I understand some of the backstories of many of the new quests better and can say "Hey! I did that!" I'm even going to go around the world once again just to do all the new quests...eventually :)
I'm going with World Explorer. The reason why I picked this as one of my favourite achievement is because it makes you explore the world. (herpaderp)Most people I know tend to cheat this achievement by simply flying over every zone to complete parts of the achievement. However, some people (including me) actually do this achievement just to see what they haven't seen before.Azeroth (and Outland) is quite big and obviously had a lot of work on it by Blizzard, so to me it would be fairly reasonable to appreciate it by looking at all of it.-Wessel/Alrandia
"What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been"It was such a relief to finally getting it after missing out on some World Event achievements due to time and a misunderstanding of locations (Children's week was my Nemesis until this year when I finally conquered it). And the mount looks very nice. It's just too bad that you aren't refunded the cost for Master Riding if you bought it before you got the Meta-Meta Achievement.
Dreadsteed of Xoroth - I consider it a rite of passage for all warlocks. To me, you aren't a real warlock without it.And you can't even get it anymore! Now it stands as a badge for all veteran 'locks to wear with pride.
My favorite is because it feels good for a completionist.
I think my favorite achievement was I've Gone and Made a Mess on my death knight on my first run through of ICC 10 it was awesome and i loved every minute of that fight
I would personally have to say the Onyxia's Lair achievement back when Burning Crusade was still a secret. My god I remember waiting hours for people to show up, and trying over THOUSANDS of times just to wipe and re-try until we finally got it.
Make Love not Warcraft!
