Favorite Zone: Howling Fjord.Coming in on the Alliance Boat and seeing another ship suspended between the cliffs in flames really sets the mood. Plus it was just plain awesome riding a Harpoon down into the Alliance Keep.
My favorite zone would be Deepholm because of the mass of different terrain and different spins on enemies. all around its a nice looking zone with some really cool stuff and i enjoy just flying around exploring stuff that looks interesting in the zone... so yea Deepholm FTW..
Un'Goro Crater would be my favorite. Besides the fact that there are dinosaurs walking around, the horde has the great quest chain to get the venomhide ravasaurs, there are plenty of awesome fossil archeology sites, and some cute quests thrown in.
My favourite city has to be The Undercity, since the vast majority of my toons are Forsaken. This is where I really feel at home, knowing our Dark Lady watches over us, chilling with the Montague family at the bank, although I'm still annoyed that Kor'kron guards have replaced our good old trusty Abom's.It's hard to chose just one, but my favourite zone in the world would be The Storm Peaks. The epicness of the scenery coupled with the in-game music still gives me chills.
My favorite zone is Nagrand. Something about the openness of it was very relaxing. Also, being Horde, it had and awesome, zone long quest line with some EPIC story moments. Twilight Highlands is coming in as a close second though, lots of epics moments there and a great opening.
My favorite zone is mount hyjal, because i really enjoy nature and animals. All animals are there so cute that why i quest there, because i wanna save them from evil fire guys.
has to be Uldum, it's like a adventure story, the architecture is really nice and the quests also
MY love is for the Howling Fjord, just walking around there and hearing the soothing violin music, while beating down on some undead or living vikings, D.E.H.T.A, and the first time i went there for the WOTLK expansion, trying to grind out server firsts for eternal glory. haha. just good memories from the first time i was there until now for me.
I think that my absolute favorite zone was Sithilus before and after the Shattering. A strange zone at best, and indeed one of the most relaxing in my eyes. Many people found the constant hive buzzing from An'Qiraj to be an annoyance at best, but I found it to be strangely relaxing. The overall dead land look was something I found strangely intriguing as well, along with the slithid hives always managing to draw my interest. I almost wish that An'Qiraj will become a more central part of the game again... Much like how they created Zul'Aman and Zul'Gurrub into heroic dungeons, perhaps retrofitting An'Qiraj to be a heroic, or even an updated raid! Something I've seen in that Sithilus (on my server) is one of the least visited places, minus perhaps for the exploring achievement. Many people just straight to Outland right after they hit 58, completely skipping over areas that they could visit. Sithilus has become one of those amazing, yet rarely visited areas.
I've levelled through pretty much every zone pre-Cataclysm, but only a few since. Even so, and despite the fact I've not played Alliance for more than a few levels on a squidface alt for about 4 years, I think the old Duskwood was the best zone. So many characterful quests - The Scythe of Elune and the Ladimore family, Mistmantle Manor and Sven Yorgen, getting ganked by Stitches and Mor'ladim. So many questions that would go unanswered for years as well. Loved it.
Duskwood. When I just had my first character, I looked to Darkshore from Elwynn Forest, and I thought: I want to go there when I am at a higher level.. :)
ULDUM is my favorite zone. Easy to get around, variations in topography, tropical areas, deserts, etc. etc. And I enjoyed the Harrison Jones quest line. I find it a relaxing area to be in.
Technically, my favorite zone is Tanaris. It's white sandy beaches and scorpion-filled dunes are home to classic items such as Carrot on a Stick and the ever-amusing Noggenfogger Elixir...But my truly favorite zone is actually not a zone at all, but a subset of Tanaris: The Caverns of Time. It's instances provide a trip through looking glass of Warcraft lore, letting you not just view the stories and myths that defined World of Warcraft, but actually partake in them; From the origins of Thrall to the battle of the World Tree. For me and other lore / backstory fanatics, it doesn't get much better than that. :)
Nagrand. Waterfalls are amazing!
Hyjal. Because its just a h*** of a lot easier leveling there compared to Vashj'ir.I leveled my druid going through Vashj'ir and thought it was a pretty good zone, even thought it was submerged in water. But when I decided to level my mage I realised how annoying it actually was being submerged in water, so I decided to try Hyjal... 3 quests later I knew it was gonna be the zone I would forever use to level my alts in. No mobs spawning all around you, swarming you from, not only the sides, but above and below as well, and being able to fly around instantly without having to do a questline first (and althought it is a unique experience getting that water mount, Its not worth it in my mind).
