My favorite zone would have to be Nagrand, mostly due to how much important lore was packed into this place. Also, I loved the skies here, and seeing the wildlife for the first time.. definitely an unforgetable memory in my WoW experience.
Burning Steppes. I can remember spending hours and hours skinning dragonkin in there during vanilla that flying through it these days just brings back so many good memories
Netherstorm has to be my favorite. It has awesome lore about it.
Terokkar Forest Terokkar forest, by far the most beautiful zone. At the time I was taking a music class that required me to listen to a couple of pieces and focus on details. I ended up going out to buy some Audio-technica's because they were picking up sounds that I never noticed. One day while leveling in Terokkar I thought 'why not' and fiddled with the sound settings and plugged in my new headphones. . .To anyone who hasn't listened to the ambiance in Terokkar on high settings, you don't know what you're missing. Absolutely beautiful.
I like the Karazhan Crypts. It's chilling, creepy, and mostly inaccessible.
I have to say Mount Hyjal, it feels great to revisit such a monumental zone, after what happened years ago with Archimonde, the area looks to have recovered well, despite the current invasion it is having to go through.
Twilight Highlands. All the rush in there while aiming for realm first, and still I managed to catch up with amazing storylines in that zone. It is also very beautiful and amazing zone with various different elements and factions. In my opinion, it is a zone like no other.
I'm going to have to go with Desolace. In Vanilla I wasn't that big of a fan of the zone, but it always intrigued me. I liked the dynamic of the warring factions well before all of the rewards of "choose one of these races to get cool things". In Cataclysm it got a huge overhaul and the zone is simply amazing now! Kudos to Blizzard for revisiting the past and revamping a once dead zone and making it awesome!
My favorite zone it's Feralas, i love seeing a raining zone full of nature, beasts, giants, quite epic, those high trees, the ogres that i love to pwn, soo many things... when i go there it's like i'm in the jungle... i fell fresh... oh god... what a beautiful zone... i also like that zone cuz i feel more like a hunter there. A bow user hunter. XD
Stranglethorn vale was my first true love, everything good about this game was captured between those trees. STV was the first zone while leveling where you would encounter enemies of the opposite faction, and had you been wise enough to level on a pvp realm, it would have been the most fun 15 levels of your career, between slaughtering gnomes and fighting over the illustrious gurubashi arena spoils.Stranglethorn was home to one of THE greatest raids of all time, and undoubtedly the one most visited, even in wrath when we were 20 levels higher than the content, we continued to venture there week after week almost religiously, in search for what could possibly be te two most famous mounts in the game. Zul'gurub is a legend, even in it's revamped days.
gotta love Azshara now. Horde symbol shape and Gallywix Pleasure Palace! can't beat that! :D
I know a lot of people have already said this, but Nagrand. I have to say, all time favorite zone, going through with my Orc Shaman made me feel quite important. To me, it is the center of Outland, not the Naaru quest line. I remember my days of leveling, being ganked, wishing I had that lovely looking Tabulk to rush me away from the level 70. After hitting 70, the first thing I did was get my beloved Tabulk. Nagrand by far. Beautiful sky, and terrain, a lovely place to look at, level, ride around, and gank/be ganked in. I <3 Blizz for implementing that awesome zone.
