My favorite was always Priest T6. My Priest always looks awesome in it and I still walk around in it sometimes.
T10 Raid Set This set is my all time fav for a hunter just looks incredibly menacing if you wan my honest opinion I love it ! and wassad to upgrade beacuse of its look Rawr! My favourite Armour tier is the T10 shaman gear. I don't actually have a shaman character so I can't comment on the stat allocation or the usefulness of the set bonuses but as the look of the armour set goes it is a work of art, although I'm not a massive fan of skirts for male Orcs. The broken bones strapped to the shoulders and the deer skull helm thing really matches the shamanistic, living in a cave, totem vibe. This armour tier across all classes was generally epic, my warrior looked brilliant decked out in the full set with the pig head shoulders and also the rogue set with the sock for a head looked amazing too, but the shaman sets trumps them both I think, Frigging beautiful set made we want to roll shaman!
Being on an RP server, I carry around a lot of sets to look awesome while out RPing. That being said, I'll have to say the Sanctified Ymirjar Lord's Battlegear. T10 was the first raid tier that I was level capped for (having only started playing WoW a few months prior to it being released). While at first I hated the idea of having boars on my shoulders, now my piggyspaulders are among my favorites. I just remember all the effort I put in to collect the pieces, of finding a PuG that ran regularly, even if it was only one night a week, of never getting past the Blood Queen but having so much fun in the process it didn't matter. My T10.5 look-alike set (since I only got two actual pieces of Sanctified, the holes filled in with drops from ICC25) always has a place in my bags, and is my most commonly used RP set. There's just no denying the badassery of it, the fact that, using the new models for belts, legs, and boots, that your character actually has the bulk of plate that they're supposed to have.Of course, the question is, "what tier of gear is best," not which set... so I am going to have to throw my lot in with T10. There did not exist a single bad-looking set. In close second, I would have to say the D1/D2 sets. It's really depressing that they've been removed from the game because they all looked great. The colors were awesome, the models interesting, and they made for great RP sets because you got the whole collection, just just half. I also have to throw my lot in with Warlock T1, Druid T9, and most of T3. May you rest in peace, Dreadnaught's Battlegear :<
Heroism, clearly. Because nothing says "I'm a total badass" like being in the kill screenshot for every boss in MC all the way through AQ40 and into the first few raids of TBC while wearing the exact same shoulders with a minor palette swap.
Paladin tier 1 (Lawbringer). Because of the epic Banana Shoulderpads!
Personally I liked the resto shaman T10 set because it was the first full set I ever got the full set
10 Storms! My first and favorite tier.
Death Knight Tier 11 frost goes awsome with the blue eyes and the the frost ability's.
Definitely old set for warriors, the Battlegear of Valor Battlegear of Valor, and not the upgraded, epic one, but this blue set that you got straight from cold dead bodies of vanilla instances bosses. Arcanite Reaper (HOOOO :D) Arcanite Reaper with it of course. :)
Strangely enough to most hunters, my favorite was actually the hunter tier 2, the Giantstalker set. While not exactly a fan of the bright red short shorts, it holds a special place in my heart for the sheer amount of effort that went into it and -- of course -- all the crap I took from my old guildmates for how awful those short shorts did look. Of course, it didn't really help that on Dwarves those short shorts got even shorter.
